Download DBEditor 1.8 here-http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=280329 and then-
    1) Backup your data directory
    2) open all the pack files you can in DBEditor from your data directory
    3) Uncheck 'CA packs are read only'
    4) Find the 'unit_table\units' table
    5) Open it and find 'euro_expat_infantry_regiments_etrangers'
    6) Scroll to the row named 'Unit_limit' and change the value from '4' to '0'
    7) Save your changes

Didn't work so good. I changed the unit limit as desired, but it either A- Reverts back to the standard limit of four, or B, shows the change but the change doesnt display in game. I heard I may have to make a mod to do this...if theres no easier way through the DB editor (Unless Im doing something wrong ) could someone give me help with that?

Or, essentially...Im looking for a mod that will just remove all unit caps from infantry/cavalry units, no changes to the gameplay. If anyone is able to PM me, post it here, or, if its really that easy, do it for me, Id really appreciate it. I cant get the DB Editor to work for the life of me. Also, read only -is- off.

I'm looking to do something similar, did you get it working in the end?

Don´t change entries in vanilla files guys. Copy that table and create a new packfile with it. There you can work and try as much you want.
Load your modfile then with mod-manager, the safest thing for beginners.
