    Default Possible fan problem

So, I got a new power supply(Corsair TX650) and new Graphics card(Sapphire 5870) but I'm worried about their fans. My old psu just had a vent, not a fan, and now it has like a 120mm one. I previously had no graphics card installed but the new one has a mid sized fan as well. Both fans are facing each other and are about 2-3in apart. There's nothing I can do to move them. I am worried one fan will hurt the other device. I felt in between the fans and it was quite hot, but I suppose that's to be expected. Should I be worried about overheating?

If the fans are faced same ways i don't see any problems and if the 120mm fan is blowing air onto it i don't see its use then as it's conflicting the air movement imo.

If the inside of your case looks something like this, I'd be worried. It may affect temperatures but more importantly is the stress on the fans. If you have two fans with conflicting airflow issues, it increases the stress on the fans since they have to work against each other and it reduces the lifespan by a significant amount.

    Paint ftw.

    Ok thanks Ishan.
    Epic mrcrusty.
I'm now fairly sure the graphics card is sucking in. Correct? There is a vent in its back. As for the psu Idk yet...

Graphics card and PSU always suck in. PSU uses the back as it's vent, the side where you stick in the power cord.

Ah, I see. Well, since there's nothing really to do(only one pcie slot and top mount psu) I guess I'll just wait until one of the fans die. Thankfully the corsair has a 5 yr warranty. The 5870 however...
Doctor, how long does he have to live?

If you have a top mount PSU, how is the graphics card fan in conflict with the PSU fan?

Currently i think it could be a major problem as the PSU fan even though looks big but it's still fragile due to the pressure built it may get jammed or something that will cause the PSU to generate crazy heat.

But i think we you have a setup like this it will be alright then as a new intake fan will remove the pressure from both of the fans inside.

Due to limited space I don't think a fan there is feasible, however, there is a fan towards the bottom of the case below both components. It is currently shooting out but has the option to be switched around to blow in. I assume you would recommend this.

Oh, there are also those little openings that added ports go in to. I suppose I should open that as it is right in between both parts. Not a fan, but it's airflow...

    I can do this.

Last questions. I made my "exhaust fan" an intake fan. Is that ok? There are other places where air can come in...
Also, I took apart an old computer and removed one of its fans. Its connecting wire is 3 prongs. All 3 prong connections on the mobo are taken, however, there is a 4 prong connection open. Can I plug the fan into that?
