Because of the Gomery Report and because of a no-confidence motion passed by Parliament, we Canadians are wrapped up in another Federal Election. The contenders this time around are:
The Liberal Party of Canada: led by Paul Martin. A very, very liberal form of government based around social programs and the rights of citizens. Sometimes offend religious groups, such as when they made Gay Marriage legal
The Conservative Party of Canada: led by Stephen Harper. The conservative respresentative in the Canadian government. They're kind of like the American Republicans. They believe in less social programs(they're going to 'fix', in otherwords remove, our universal healtcare), and less rights. Also based around Christian ideals.
The New Democratic Party of Canada: led by Jack Layton. Somewhat of a mix of conservative and liberal. The democrats are radical in their suggestions and intend to reduce taxes and corruption but at the same time increase social programs.
The Bloc de Quebecois: led by Gilles Duceppe. A party based in Quebec, a party for Quebec, from Quebec, in the interest of Quebec. Everything this party does is devoted to making Quebec it's own sovereign country. In otherwords, they're seperatists.
So, of these 4 political parties, who do you think will win the election?
