Do you want it back? I'm considering selling it. It's only just hit me I'm not going to be doing as much gaming next year and the 5870 seems like overkill. Well, actually I've always known that but I didn't realise the level of overkill the 5870 was, especially when overclocked.

I mean, I don't play the heavily demanding games like Metro, Crysis and the like. I mostly play RPGs and TW games so in the next year my main games will be Shogun 2, Elder Scrolls V, Mass Effect 3 & Witcher 2. I don't need an overclocked 5870 to play those games at medium-highish settings @ 1680x1050.

Oh, btw, I cleaned out the stack of dust that's been building inside of it and I replaced the thermal paste with higher quality paste. It's actually 3-4c cooler than when I first got it.

I'm also willing to pawn it off to any Aussies here on TWC if anybody wants it. Of course, Jake gets dibs if he wants it because it's his old card.

If nobody wants it, it'll probably go on eBay in a few days where I can make a lot of money ripping people off.

Do you know the cheapest Asus 5870 still goes for ~$500 on eBay AU, so I can still make it look like a bargain even if it's a ripoff.

Nvidia had upgraded the appearance and layout of their install recently, AMD figured it was their turn. Previously CCC looked like a program designed 10 years ago, glad to see they spiffed things up a bit.

$350 for a 5870 off Ebay here. It's a complete ripoff when you can buy a 6970 for $20 more.

DUDE I just put my ear near my 570's in SLI and I swear I could here them laughing at your 260. I won't repeat exactly what they said, it's quite offensive really.
