5770 temperature jump
So, after I installed my new 1055T, 4 Gb of ddr3 ram and the M4A79XTD EVO, the temps on my GPU jumped by 15c, so it's now around 46c on idle and almost 80c when gaming. The cpu is at 18c idle and almost 30c at load.
I have no idea why it jumped and I've checked everything..
Should I be worried over those temps?

Re: 5770 temperature jump
Where do you live? 18c idle and 30c load seems incredibly low for that CPU, unless your ambients like 10c. Also, those are normal-ish temps for a 5770, nothing out of the ordinary.

Re: 5770 temperature jump
Ah I see. I live in Finland. It's like -30c outside and 15c - 20c here inside.

Re: 5770 temperature jump
Are you using the stock cooler for the CPU? and what was your set-up before?

Re: 5770 temperature jump
Yes I'm using the stock cooler, and the setup before was an amd 5600+ and a mobo wich name I cant recall.
I guess the aprox 7c jump is because the better fan of the cpu is pushing more heat into the case than before

Re: 5770 temperature jump
You can create a custom fan profile as those temps look a little high for the 5770 considering your ambient temps. But really, it's not out of the ordinary. Maybe 5c higher than expected.

Re: 5770 temperature jump
Increasing the fan speed from 50% only helps like 1- 2c at most, even with a 30% increase.

Re: 5770 temperature jump
Okay, now I have a problem. Overnight the GPU temps raised another 4c in idle. I triple checked all the fans and drivers etc.. Dont get it
Ambient temps are the same.

Re: 5770 temperature jump
Did you reinstall/reformat windows and everything when you updated your rig?

Re: 5770 temperature jump
I'd be willing to bet that's got something to do with it. Try a reinstall/reformat.

Hmbh.. Not going through all that work when everything works fine and the temperature difference is so small :p
