So I've got access to high-speed internet over the next few days, compared to my normal 1mb connection (mobile internet dongle + crap reception) and I'm looking to take advantage of the Steam sale. Is is possible for me to download games to my laptop and then simply copy the game files over to my normal computer? I know it can be done with many programs, so long as you also copy the appdata folders (which, it seems, are often generated by the program if the folder doesn't exist). I've done this with milkshape and photoshop (I'm currently running them off a flash drive) but do you think Steam will give me any issues regarding this? Afaik "installing" only dumps the relevant files and directories, it doesn't access or create any hidden directories does it?
