I don't understand Dr Who. Could enthusiasts share what about it appeals to them so?
You don't understand his character or you don't understand the show what it is about?

Dr. Who is a classic, it's been going since 1963 and it's still bloody good which in my humble opinion is quite impressive.
Bitter is the wind tonight,
it stirs up the white-waved sea.
I do not fear the coursing of the Irish sea
by the fierce warriors of Lothlind.
Okay there is one scene that has me convinced that someone was on some massive trip. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.
'Ahh yes an authentic rastaclot weapon, as used by the rastaclot nobles in the court of King Bumbaclot '
So the intro titles didn't already do that?

Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.
Has the new episode brought Dr. Who what you expect of it to a higher level?

The new ep was exactly what I expected, was more interested in the scenes from the upcoming season. Looks like they're going for a darker look. Then again its taking 12 eps and condensing them into 30 seconds.

I like these "space" episodes. Makes me wish someone in the UK would make a space based sci-fi like Star Trek or something.
