You can find the latest response from Mitch on the issue in the general discussion, I believe. He says that although progress has been considerably more rapid than expected at first, he has hit a major wall in the construction of the startpos that may either require entirely new, innovative thinking to overcome or a rather long secondary route.

The last startpos had the problem of lots of major bugs which the solution couldn't be found for, this startpos the problem is getting the minor factions in the game; should be able to overcome this, could just take a little while though.

Thanx team you guys are fabulous and the reason I'de post a thread instead of do something is because it's cold the yanks are too lazy to work today.
