I've never been fond of political correctness
I do prefer the Norwegian name of Christmas, though. Here we call it "jul" (we don't have a silly need to capitalize random words either )

well, us english speakers don't find a need to add slashes through our Os at random

Except those slashes are very non-random. It's a specific pronunciation which you English-speakers just lump in with U and O.
Æ, Ø, and Å are one of the reasons Norwegian is a much more logical language than English. English has so many exceptions that there might as well not be any rules.

very true. very true. the whole "i before e except after c" has so many exceptions they almost outnumber the actual rule.

Yup, and it happens to overlap the ten-day government holiday of New Years from the 1st through 10th, so those days are extremly festive!

I'd love to tell you that's not true. In fact, English makes sense when you're learning the basics, but when learning the complicated stuff (the 20 past times) you better develop a 'feeling' for which you should use.

Well, Spanish is a relatively easily language (for me at least). I dropped French and German (well, German because I didn't have a decent German teacher) because they were harder.

English makes little sense as there are incredibly many exceptions to every rule. In that regard Spanish does make more sense.
However, Spanish makes less sense than English in the regard that it is overly complicated. There is no good reason for every single tense of a verb to have a different version for each perspective. In English there are some redundant versions (am/are/is, for example), but much fewer than in Spanish. In Norwegian there are none at all, as well as much fewer rule-exceptions than in English.
