    Default Watchtower Submod

    Hi guys. This basically places pre-existing watchtowers on all the inaccessible high mountain ranges + forests on the campaign map (eg. Misty Mountains/Blue Mountains/Mirkwood/White Mountains of Gondor), meaning that if you place watchtowers around your domain (+ those included in this mod) you will not have any Fog of War in your territory. This was originally created for my own use (as im one of those creeps who hates owning territory which has FOW) but I have been persuaded to upload my mod for a few people on the forums =)

    Its a bit of a hack job but PM or message me if you have any problems or have suggestions on how to make it better!

    To be used with TATW 2.1 - should work fine with any other submods as long as they dont edit either the descr_strat or map_ground_types files.

    Download and extract to your Medieval II main directory. Once installed, make sure you delete the map.rwm file in your data/world/maps/base folder.

    Thanks =D
    As I've said before its a bit of a hackjob but I thought it would suit the minority of Totalwar gamers who love using watchtowers =)

    True mate, true. But with this hopefully it removes that problem!

    If you have a submod running that interferes with the descr_strat file then let me know, and I'll see if I can tweak your file to include these towers.

    I disagree, you wouldn't know whats going on in the mountains. Officially said mountains may be a part of your realm on a map but you have no actual control over them or people living there. So how would you know whats going on?

    Not bashing this mod, just disagreeing with Lord Stuart's reasoning.

    I understand where your coming from dont worry; but some of us enjoy having total control over our lands, from the composition of its economy/buildings to its FOW and armies. For example I always maintain a uniform model army for each region depending on the faction (eg. 4 gondor archers and 6 gondor spearmen per city). I hope you understand me =P

    i understand your point of view and therefore the mod itself but would not use it myself.
    To remove the FOW is always a priority but I always consder this a trait of my empire growing and the civilisation developing - and economy to, haha.
    The only faction I would use this for would be Gondor, feels as they are so big and mighty still and civilised they should keep track on the country by now...
