black screen and bloom effect...semi-CTD

Hi,

add a bloom effect to the game.
Since it was not made for RTW, a few manipulations are necessary. Since it was not made for RTW, when launching the game, you will see green writings on the top-right corner of a black screen, mentioning GTA:
The game will alt-tab automatically after some time, then return to the game about a minute later. Leave it do that, and touch nothing. You should then be directly in the option menu. Choose a campaign or battle as usual.

I have tried to activate the bloom effect.......but the game no return in the option menu...the audio is felt only. I must pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del, to return to the desktop and click the RTW icon ...

it is a serious problem?

GeForce GTX 285 and actual driver
Win 7 64
German RTW version, clean install patch to 1.5
then RS2 + 2.1 Patch
High Quality Models, High Vegitation, Dark Bloom ( also tested with no bloom )

Windows dont want to open the RTW Window again after I Alt+Tab in the black screen main menu

@srdn - If you can get back into the game and play then you're fine. Just have to do those steps every time you want to play RS2, not a major hassle if you like the effect in-game.

I just Alt+Tab when I hear the music play to get back in game. It doesn't automatically go back to the game for me either.

This is a hack of sorts to allow bloom effect in RS2 since vanilla RTW never had the option or ability to do it. That's why you see the black screen and it say something on top about GTA (Grand Theft Auto).

@RickVic - I wait till I hear the music playing in the background and then Alt+Tab back into the game. Then I see the progress bar from the game at bottom of screen as usual, then then screen refreshes and its back in the in-game menu. Works for me and as I mentioned above, it doesn't auto back into the game for me. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit so I know it works. If that still doesn't help someone else will have to help out here.

install actual nvidia driver, deactivate bloom and voila it works but sadly the german translation kill my RS. must redownload later
