Default HDMI cable, internet security and GTX 570

    Hello.

at tthe moment I am using my laptop on the TV using a VGA and audio cable, but soon I'm going to be getting a new PC and using my TV as it's monitor and I'll be using an HDMI cable for that. Now I know HDMI cables can carry sound so will I need an audio cable for my PC?

I have spent many hours going over every little thing on my new PC but I've completely ignored internet security and anti-virus software, I could just get Norton again but I don't know if I really want to do that, are there any better things that are cheap?

I'm going to be getting a GTX 570 card, I was wondering though is there much difference between the different brands? The EVGA version is £309.99 but the POV version is £279.99 I know EVGA has a longer warranty but is that the only difference or will the POV be of a lesser quality?

    Cheers.

In the US EVGA sells for the same price as other brands so I always go with them for the better warranty (lifetime on the GTX570). If you ever need warranty support EVGA does indeed provide you the best RMA support among GPU makers, obviously if you never have a problem with your card then there would be no point paying more so it's really just up to you. The only thing that could really differ between different brands using the reference coolers is perhaps the fan, other than that they should all be the same.

I have 2 GTX570's and I hook them up to my HDTV, the HDMI audio works great.

As far as security I use Nortan Internet Security 2010 (2011 is available now though) I really like it, it's nice and light and works great. If you don't visit a bunch of obscure sites then you might as well just use Microsoft security Essentials though, it's free.
