Wonder if anyone can help me out with the following - I have just started the playing SS 6.3 and am a complete n00b:
for my first campaign I decided to play as England, at the end of the first turn I noticed that some titles had been given out to my nobles e.g. earl of essex etc. Out of curiosity I started again and left my nobles in different provinces, and at the end of the first turn they were awarded some different titles, and I thus learned that depending on where you end the first turn determines the titles that the computer gives out.
I tried moving nobles to other provinces on 2nd turn but they did not gain additional titles (e.g. on first run through someone got "lord of nottingham" or similar, but on 2nd run throughno-one was in nottingham provice at the end of turn one and no-one got the title given to them. I left a character in the provice on their second turn but they did not pick up the title - is this a bug???
Also a character died and the title did not get reassigned - is this a bug too???
Well, you can transfer up to 8 (ancillary limmit) to one character, but you can only aquire one per character, yes. When a character without titles ends turn in a settlement, he is given the appropriate title, provided no one else holds it.
The Enemy of Human Souls
Sat grieving at the cost of coals;
For Hell had been annexed of late,
And was a sovereign Southern State.
Always asked myself why thereīs a limit too. I like to have the titles collected with my offensive Generals. Did something for that in 6.2 RR/RC. Just made it compatible for 6.3 - but itīs too small to call it a submod since i just out... - erm put a ";" in front of one line in each ancillary trigger. Had mighty 8 downloads for 6.2 RR/RC - so i think most donīt want it.
Anyway - if You like it just extract the 7zip folder below and copy the data folder to Your "MTW/mods/SS6.3" Folder and overwrite. Then run the submod manager (setup.exe) in Your SS6.3 folder. Be sure to have the Fixes 4.2 installed before. If You donīt like it - or something went wrong: There will be an AncillaryBackup folder too (contains the original 4.2 files).
Final Note: Generals will get every title which isnīt in use till they have their maximun of 8 ancillaries. For me it worked well in 6.2 RR/RC.
Edit: Should be savegame compatible - Youīll have the changes right after installing.
Edit#2: If You donīt want to loose compability with any other submod that modifies anything in those files. With notepad++ the changes are made within a few seconds:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Just search for that line: and not HasAncType dearmad_her
and replace with: ; and not HasAncType dearmad_her
then click replace all. Should be 601 changes and Youīre done.
