I actually have two questions ~~~~

    1. I'm playing the GB Campaign, and I trapped Napoleon at Innsbruck between two British armies. I sent a spy after him to assassinate, which was successful, the French army subsequently being vanquished. Imagine my surprise later on when I send an army to attack Venice, and who shows up with an army to oppose me, but the Little Corsican! I knew he had great skills, but I didn't know rising from the dead was one of them. How did that happen?

    2. I have several protectorates as GB, and a few of them now seem to be sending their gentlemen to my university in Spain. Some of them do have their own universities. Why are they doing this? Is it any harm to me?

    Comments and suggestions welcome.

    1. Every Coalition/Europe Campaign has a general that only becomes wounded when they "die" and will come back after a few turns. For example Napoleon, Wellington, and Blucher.

    2. Well you could consider it harm, as far as my knowledge goes, they could be stealing some of your technology. I don't really use protectorates so I don't know what to do.

Napoleon: Total War without Napoleon would be a bit silly. As would it be without the iconic Wellington, Blücher and Kutuzov. Thats why they made them 'immortal'. They disappear for a few turns to restore from their wounds inflicted by battle or assassination.

Protectorates tend to treat you the same way as a normal nation, even though it might say 'Friendly' or 'Very Friendly' they still want your technology. In one campaign as France I liberated the Ottoman Empire, making them my protectorate. I generously gave them their starting position back (I love to do that.) so the Ottomans where restored. A few turns later, the Sultan decided he could do without me and attacked me. My very own protectorate!

It's just a bit odd when those wounds are inflicted by a cannonball.
