I've send 2 units of Galadhrim Heavy Archers and 1 Sindar Nobles to aid Minas Tirith against 3 stacks of Harad and Mordor troops.
Valiant defenders of gondor stood their ground long enough, to allow swift elves enter the City throught the other 'non-existing'(lore-wise ;p) gate.
But as elves entered town square, the last gondorians routed from the gate.
Elven archers gave them cover, sending silent deaths to the enemy. One after another Haradrim Corsairs fell, by arrows coming from nowhere while Gondorian Defenders, with hearts strenghtened by aiding them allies kept charging at the enemy and retreating.
It went well, and Haradrims, confused and disheartened routed the field, but as they did, mordor troops went throught the gate.
A horde of wargs chased after gondorians. Sindar nobles sent one last volley, massacring them, but it wasn't enough to save gondorians who were slain few teps from the elven line. Elves left their bows and took their swords to hands to charge foul beasts, giving them all swift deaths.
Proud galadhrim and their lord fought long and hard, killing houndreds of orcs, routing second stack.
When third army of mordor went throught the gate, there were only few defenders still standing. And right before time limit expiration, died Haldir, [edit]second to[/edit] last of valiant defenders.

Epic, just one thing: "And right before time limit expiration" this made it look Not-so-epic-anymore![]()
Darn english, I just wrote it wrong.
Defending the osgilliath bridge as gondor... my army of 2800 versus 8000 orcs. An epic bloodbath ensued as my 3 ballista teams burnt countless orcs to death... then cames the storm of arrows from my 1500 archers. They truly feared the red mist. My archers were running low so I switched them to fire arrows to prolong their volleys as long as possible. Ultimately the bridge was covered in orcs, both al dente and extra crispy![]()
my greatest moment of glory was when playing as the silvans. i was kicking the OOTMM ass back north through the mountain, confident in victory. a second force of 800 elves, all melee spearmen and forest wardens, went to take beorn's halls. after 2 turns siege the goblins send a full host of snagas, melee goblins and whatnot, and i retreat from the siege, which they retake.
things look bleak. my army is busy fighting off in the mountains, and i have only 800 melee elves to tackle 3000 goblins, most of whom are skirmishers and who will take me forever to catch. my only choice is to retreat, but i decide to assume what the goblins will do: right outside of beorn's halls, there is a small patch of forest where i can lay my army to ambush them. assuming they would march into Mirkwood i gather them there and wait with bathed breath.
IT WORKED! they were taken completely by suprise!
my army, fully surrounding the goblins, strike their lines from three sides. the results are devastating for the goblins: they lose 2400 of their numbers, i lose 120. next turn i sieged and retook beorns halls.
best battle ever.
I was messing around trying to get Sauron as Mordor, and when I finally got him a huge elite stack of gondorian troops appears at minas morgul, so i sent all the nazgul/sauron there and used their terror abilities (and saurons curse) all at the same time not knowing what to expect.
The ENTIRE enemy army routed at the same time, over 2300 men, and swan knights to boot, i nearly died from laughing at how funny it was.
Today, King Dain of the Dwarves led an army to Moria to reclaim it in the name of the Dwarves.
Before we reached the Halls however, there was a smaller goblin force of the Orcs of the Misty Mountains. We attacked, and next thing you knew, the orcs from Moria came pouring out as well, out numbering us. We climbed the mountain side, and positioned our ballista. The first ballista picked apart the goblin archers. Were was the rest of the enemy? More archers came. The ballista tore them apart. The first orc infantry unit arrived. They too were routed. The next came, but the ballista emptied. The Dwarven Horde, led by King Dain, charged, the orcs retreated. The rest of the orcs came, but as the Dwarves came charging down the mountain, they ran in terror.
Later in the same day, Dain assaulted Mordor. One by one each Balrog was struck down by the ballista, as were the enemies catapults. Dwarven Crossbowmen kept their fire unrelenting on goblin archers, and the Axemen of Erebor combined with the Shield Wall of Dwarven Warriors overwhelmed the Orcs of the Misty Mountains. Once more, Moria becomes Khazadum.
Two Battles:
1500+ Orcs
800 Dwarves
Orc Forces: 100 percent annihilated by the end of the second battle.
Dwarven Casualties: 3. All from the same friendly fire blast when a ballista fried three crossbowmen.
Playing as Eriador, after reuniting Arnor, I sent an army led by Aragorn to the Black gate.
1 general(Aragorn)
4 arnor sergeants
5 arnor men at arms
5 arnor pikemen
5 arnor archers
after capturing the black gate, I went deep into mordor and I fought against stack after stack of trolls, orcs and all other kinds of horrors from Mordor, until all that was left was aragorn, a couple of understrength companies of men at arms(I merged them), and a full company of archers. I then besieged the capital defended by the witch king and 4 companies of orcs...I lost my men and Aragorn fell in the siege of Barad dur(spelling?)
Sad
It was epic though because it reminded me of the first movie but without the elves![]()
1st movie
the intro of the fellowship of the ring...
the last alliance battle...
seeing those arnor men at arms marching in TATW reminded me of that
not the second movie...there was no arnor there
The second movie was at helms deep...elves and rohan
Mordor put together 2 armies to attack Minas Ithil (Morgul). One army had a full stack of orcs with 6 trolls and one troll catapult , the other had a Nazgul, another troll catapult, and 4 more groups of trolls. The ai was trying to starve out the garrison so it gave me time to send Denethor with reinforcements. And in one epic battle in the rain, the emaciated garrison of Minas Ithil came out to aid Denethor and bloodily wiped out 12 units of trolls and untold numbers of orcs. All those trolls were mostly killed by 3 units of Fountain Guards and one unit of Lossarnach axemen. I did lose 3 family members but Denethor survived. The stupid Nazgul general impaled himself on a stake.
