    Default Digital Camera Video Editing

I'm taking some videos with a digital camera that I want to edit for work. I'm having trouble either finding a legitimate file converter, or a legitimate program that will edit .mov's.

I'm particularly looking for something that's free, or pretty cheap.

What I'm wanting to do in particular is take the audio off the clip and add in my own. I'd also want to be able to do the other basic things like scene cutting.

Anyone know of any such capable programs?

    Thanks

    Windows Movie Maker
You can add in your own recordings and music and mute the sound from the original clip
You can trim parts off video clips

Movie Maker doesn't support .mov, and the conversion programs I've found that are real don't index the file so Movie Maker can use it.

    Get a mac

I have a mac and don't even think about what to edit movies on, surprised PC's don't accept .mov files to edit. You could always get Handbrake which will convert the clips into .wmv files. Or Mpeg Stream Clip (this might be Mac OS only though)

Otherwise, see if this site will help you: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...deo-editor.htm

Hope this helps brother patron of our Lord Condormanius
