Unit modding in v1.5
Sorry for this newb question, i have seached the forums but couldn't find an answer.
I used to mod a lot in export_descr_unit.txt, really anything like shield values, costs, attack,
adding new units etc. Since i installed the v1.5 patch nothing seems to work, not even in vanilla. The odd thing is that i only get a ctd when i start up a new campaign and rtw starts the campaign map up.
Please tell me how come.
edit: please?

Ok then i'll guess, i'll just remove rtw&bi, and install them without patching.
thanks

Did you install the patches over your mods or did you patch and then redo mods.

Thanks, well first i removed and reinstalled rtw, then I patched it, then i tried to re-mod. Then i couldn't mod export_descr_unti.txt anymore.

Yeah, I have had the same problem.
I wanna play RTW 1.5 with Webbird's skins installed but they crash the game when starting a campaign.
They work fine in custom battles though.
I thought I remember reading that someone got them to work with 1.3 because it was something to do with a new desc_mod_battle.txt. format or something along those lines.

That's strange. I've added many skins to 1.5 including some of Webbirds, no problems so far. You didn't overwrite your descr model battle txt did you. That would kill your game, I believe, that file changed somewhat from 1.2 at least. You have to add the texture lines by hand. As for the unit stats those I modded too without a single problem. I've also added entirely new units, again without problem.
