    Default Eagle

Hello, I was playing my Saxon campaign when a message popped out after conquering 1 roman city (that had a unit of first legionary .... legion I italica or something like that)
It affects me with something ?

This is the second one, I captured another one in the first turns I think but I forgot to ask then

    Adevăratele īnfrāngeri,
    sunt renunţările la vis.

I believe capturing a legionary eagle gives a positive trait to the general who pulled it off

    yes,.
i think your general gets that trait because he slayed a legion.

Some units carry a legionary eagle (like the first cohort in RTW). Annihilating this unit on the field makes you capture its eagle. This'll give that general the "eagle-collector" trait, or something like that.

Likewise, the Romans have to recapture their eagles, otherwise their generals get negative traits.

Does this only happen in BI or can it happen in the original Rome Total War as well because i have not seen it yet in the original?

Funny you should mention that, because...

is an enormous loss for Rome. Watch the vid below and you'll understand why the Roman general gets a trait debuff.

Um, wow. That is freakin' cool. Kevin Macdonald and Jeremy Brock are awesome (I loved The Last King of Scotland). I have to see it when it's released. I hope it's better than Rome (the HBO series).

Wow...that's quite a debuff...it gets transmitted to the entire family for at least 1 generation.

Makes me think a bit about Stalingrad, when many people died only to keep up the symbol of the nation.

I think the trailer pretty much covers the action.
