    Icon5 is it possible..?

Is it possible to alter Vanilla RTW to make it 0 turn recruitment? If so, how is it done?
    Thanks.

Yes, you have to modify the edu by setting every unit's recruitment time to 0.

Go to data, find export_descr_unit.txt and somewhere in the parameters there was the recruitment length. Ask someone else.

    ..hey Gemima.......
you are not going to kill vanilla arent you ?

go to export_descr_unit.txt in the data folder and look for this entry in each unit:

    Code:
    type samues swordsmen
    dictionary samues_swordsmen
    category infantry
    class            heavy
    voice_type Heavy_1
    soldier celtic_heavy_swordsman, 60, 0, 1.25
    officer celtic_heavy_swordsman
    officer barb_standard
    officer carnyx_player
    attributes sea_faring, hide_improved_forest, very_hardy, mercenary_unit, no_custom
    formation 1, 1, 2, 2, 6, square
    stat_health 1, 5
    stat_pri 8, 24, celtic_javelin, 40, 2, thrown, simple, piercing, spear, 25, 1
    stat_pri_attr prec
    stat_sec 14, 24, no, 0, 0, melee, blade, slashing, sword, 25, 0.275
    stat_sec_attr no
    stat_pri_armour 7, 15, 5, metal
    stat_sec_armour 0, 1, flesh
    stat_heat 3
    stat_ground 1, -2, 2, 2
    stat_mental 18, normal, trained
    stat_charge_dist 40
    stat_fire_delay -55000
    stat_food 60, 300
    stat_cost 1, 1958, 601, 296, 394, 245
ownership barbarian, nomad, carthaginian, eastern, parthia, egyptian, greek, roman

the red value 1 is the recruitment time...set it to 0...but you have to do it for every single unit...it will be a bit of work..and probably vanilla would not work well with it as economy is not supporting 0turn recruitment and stack spam...

    @chris10
Or you could just do "CTRL+H" and replace
    "stat_cost 1"
    by
    "stat_cost 0".
    Works for me

...or you can do that...true...though in XP you have to have in mind the space characters between stat_cost and 1. In the EDUs case this is 8 spaces stat_costxxxxxxxx1 or otherwise you get an error message.
As well on different language keyboards the ctrl+h does not work....spanish keyboard is ctrl+r for example...
btw...you screwed my little maneuver youuuuuuuu.... .........I did not wanted him to change it so I although I provided the info I thought by mentioning it would be a bit of work he would not do it anyway......vanilla with 0turn.....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
