no there is not a mod for rtw 1800s at least not one that has been released for download. The best mod is always in the eye of the beholder i personally believe spqr is the best as it is hard and has tough, challenging and huge battle Rome total realism is usualli better for people who like startegy far more as in my opinion it is much more of a slow paced game, at least at the beginning there is also darth mod and iberia total war and various other mini mods but i would say either check out spqr or rome total realism first, theres nothing stopping you getting them both

if 1.800 mean napoleonic era, you have got NTW2 for rtw and IMPERIALISMTW, both featuring rifles and so

im playing the extended greek mod which uses the mundus magna map i also installed webbirds roman skins and a full persian reskin (xgm,mm, also comes with its own installer/shortcut which makes it easier to load up)
the reasons i rate it highly
    no ctd
every faction has room to expand
    tons of new units
    night battles
    no ctd
lots of big battles against good armies
    its for 1.5 rtw

    Default Mod Recommendations (the prequel)

Hello- I haven't played RTW for about 8-9 months (1.1 was the version I played on). I would like to try some of these new mods but I have no idea where to even start. Many seem to have great possibilites from what I have read on the forums. Namely RTR, Darth Mod and some extended map one I just read about which seems really exciting. So which mod would you all recommend? From what I have read 1.2 seems to be a great plus in and of itself. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I play on very hard/very hard. Thanks!

I would tell you to get the version off totalwar.com. Its pretty good, better than the original, with stuff like feelings of the troops (secure, frightened, confident etc).

download 1.2 and if you think your up to the test, everyone says the EB mod is really hard. Otherwise RTR is a really good starting mod.

Yeah Rome Total Realism is a pretty good mod. I got hooked on that for a good while. But if you like hard battles, and your computer is pretty decent you should try the SPQR mod. Another good one is that Europa Barborum, nice skins in that one.

RTR is a really good one to start off with. I followed that one through until 6.0 came out, and was very dissapointed (didnt like the idea of romans recruiting phalanx). If you want a big map, and very difficult to play due to rebels are stronger, and factions are somewhat better, then go with Darth Mod. I Just started that one right now and playing as the Germans. (DAMN REBELS, ALL SILVER CHEVRON and UP). EB is tough, but fun, and SPQR is also difficult if you play by the house rules. I just dont like the no build time for troops. anyways, any of those are fun and somewhat atleast of a challenge.

    HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll have to install them manually. See the tutorials-sections for intriguing guides on how to do this.

I would say Rome total realism (finished version) or Europa Barborum (still in development). EB is my favorite for the moment.

Iberia total war also has some nice features, like spying technologies. And SPQR garantees huge battles over and over again (Not really my thing).
