    i need advice/suggestions on this

i would like to watch film-documentaries similar to Religulous, Zeitgeist, Inconvenient Truth, Supersize Me, basicly those about controverse stuff, like religion, and such

(other examples could be, The da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons as they go for the obscure side of religion and society)

en-short! those that approach the subject in an informal way, so that i can understand it

Amazing documentary, but you'll be throwing things at your tv in fury by the end.

Some good documentaries from my country are Aghet (about the Armenian Genocide) and It Began With a Lie (about the Kosovo War).
Also, the BBC is a good source of documentaries. Compared to state media of other countries, anyway.

The best site on the interwebs!
    http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/watch-online/

It's a free site where you can watch streaming documentaries. I use that site a lot to watch about religion and science. Also to get my Dawkins fix.

For bashing religion, if you don't mind insufferable smugness, you might consider Bill Maher's Religulous.

Excellent link. Thank you. I can't seem to give you rep right now. The site says I have to spread it around before giving more to you again (?!?)

Oops, sorry. For a change of pace, how about a really crappy "documentary" — Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed with Ben Stein. It's a creationist riposte to the theory of evolution ! I can't say too much about it as I unable to get very far through it.

    The Fog of War

Documentary with Robert McNamara, EXTREMELY good. Probably one of the best historical documentaries ever made, or at least one of the best i'v ever seen, and it touches plenty of various subjects as you can expect from the former Secretary of Defense.
