    Default Faction behaviour

Alright so i dont know if this is the right place to put it but i got a Q.
Like when you open up the descr_strat file, you see behind factionname --> balanced smith
Now from wich im told, you can change this to, napeloen, ghengis khan, stalin etc.
    So my Q

    One: Is this true?
Two: If so, what from balanced and what from smith can i change? ( so like example: stalin agressive, or something like that)

    yes

there's just some names, like napoleon, genghis khan, mao

these influence AI picks when it comes to recruit units and buildings

stalin recruits lots of militias and focus on farms, napoleon on heavy cavalry and infantry and military buildings.. etc

Had this from RTW post, unknown author:

balanced - biasses towards growth, taxable income, trade level bonuses (roads), walls and xp bonus buildings
religious - biasses towards growth, loyalty, taxable income, farming, walls and law
trader - biasses towards growth, trade level, trade base, weapon upgrades, games, races and xp bonus buildings
comfortable - biasses towards growth, farming, games, races, xp bonus and happiness
bureaucrat - biasses towards taxable income, growth, pop health, trade, walls, improved bodyguards and law
craftsman - biasses towards walls, races, taxable income, weapon upgrades, xp bonuses, mines, health and growth
sailor - biasses towards sea trade, taxable income, walls, growth, trade
fortified - biasses towards walls, taxable income, growth, loyalty, defenses, bodyguards and law

These biasses are towards building properties, rather than buildings themselves. The game does not know what a "Blacksmith" is, for example, it only knows that it is a building which provides a weapon upgrade, and hence a Craftsman AI would be more likely to build it than another AI personality type.

These are then combined with a troop production personality, as follows:

    smith - exactly level
mao - biased towards mass troops, light infantry
genghis - biased towards missile cavalry and light cavalry
stalin - biased towards heavy infantry, mass troops and artillery
napoleon - biased towards a mix of light and heavy infantry, light cavalry
henry - biased towards heavy and light cavalry, missile infantry
caesar - biased towards heavy infantry, light cavalry, siege artillery

Ishan beat me to it and his also looks better!!!

Divided in two types Building Priority and Unit Priority.

I)Building Priority: These control a set of AI production personalities in short, the building construction personalities are these:
    • balanced - biases towards growth, taxable income, trade level bonuses (roads), walls and xp bonus buildings
    • religious - biases towards growth, loyalty, taxable income, farming, walls and law
    • trader - biases towards growth, trade level, trade base, weapon upgrades, games, races and xp bonus buildings
    • comfort - biases towards growth, farming, games, races, xp bonus and happiness
    • bureaucrat - biases towards taxable income, growth, pop health, trade, walls, improved bodyguards and law
    • craftsman - biases towards walls, races, taxable income, weapon upgrades, xp bonuses, mines, health and growth
    • sailor - biases towards sea trade, taxable income, walls, growth, trade
    • fortified - biases towards walls, taxable income, growth, loyalty, defenses, bodyguards and law

These biases are towards building properties, rather than buildings themselves. The game does not know what a "Blacksmith" is, for example, it only knows that it is a building which provides a weapon upgrade, and hence a Craftsman AI would be more likely to build it than another AI personality type.

II)Unit Priority: These are then combined with a troop production personality, as follows:
    • smith - exactly level
    • mao - biased towards mass troops, light infantry
    • genghis - biased towards missile cavalry and light cavalry
    • stalin - biased towards heavy infantry, mass troops and artillery
    • napoleon - biased towards a mix of light and heavy infantry, light cavalry
    • henry - biased towards heavy and light cavalry, missile infantry
    • Caesar - biased towards heavy infantry, light cavalry, siege artillery

Yeah Fortified Stalin is my choice also but the thing is AI needs money to make troops and buildings and in vanilla we all know that it is usually in debt due to lack of regions. So until one puts a Money script for them this is something not effective and almost the same.

If you want a rampage then lower unit costs for all factions. I usually play as Scotland, normal it doesn't take me long to conquer the whole of the UK island then advance. I played the whole day yesterday (go to love Christmas break) and just took Nottingham at midnight. Mind you I did dump a stack off on an island south that Milan and Sicily seem to like, had a few heroic wins there.

Basically i did peasant and militia units 1 to build 1 to upkeep. The heavier infantry 25 to build 5 to upkeep. Heavy Calvary 200 to build 50 to upkeep. Have my agents at 20k for an assassin, 5k for a spy, priest, diplomat and merchant. Less peace, more war. A few added notes, renamed my family tree to my own family and made all my mates generals, with the proper 12 turn aging script.

I know this isn't really what you were asking for but it has made it a war rampage for so far, just passing that along.
