Default Defenders of Faith Enlisting Now!

    Name: Defenders of Faith.

    Government: Constitutional Republic

    Creation Date: 12/21/10

Reason of Starting: To bring our clan into the RTW scene...

    Two Types of Rule:

Army: Main Fighting Force that focuses on tactics and squad fighting. (Specialty: Infantry/Archery)

    Ranks:

Captain- The Leader of the Army Branch. He is in charge of leading troops in the Army Branch.
Sergeant- They are in charge of leading three Legions consisting of Veterans and Regulars.
Veteran- The experienced Veteran in the battlefield.
Regular- The "Recruit" in the Army Branch.

Knights: Elite Fighting Force that focuses on operating alone or in small groups. (Specialty: Cavalry/Infantry)

    Ranks:

Master Knight- The Leader of the Knights Branch. He is in charge of leading the Knights Branch as a whole in the battlefield.
Knight- They are in charge of leading three Squires in the battlefield.
Squire- The "Recruit" in the Knights Branch.

We aim to be organized, improve our skill, work as a team, be respected by others, be honorable, fight in formation and have a good chain of command. We want to do all of this while keeping it all fun.

We are a pretty strict clan. When in battle you follow the commands from your officer(s), when on the forum we do not like strong language, and we want to be respectable and honorable.

    Branches:

    The Army

    The Knights

    The Council

We have a Court, but its elected positions only.

Requirements for the Clan: First off, welcome to the Defenders of Faith Thread.

To be a successful clan we require an active, respectful, and fun community, To help us strive towards this goal there are a few requirements.

    1.
    Rule: You MUST be active.
Why?: A bit self obvious, but to have an active clan we require active members. If you have to go for an extended period of time post message of leave stating how long you'll be gone, etc. We are very strict about this.

    2.
Rule: It is REQUIRED to have TeamSpeak 3.

Where?: The program is completely free, you may find TeamSpeak 3 at:
    http://www.teamspeak.com/
Why?: TeamSpeak 3 is necessary for clan communication, and clan communication is vital! The more we're able to communicate, the more we're able to do things, and the more we're able to do things, the more fun we have!

*- While having a microphone is not required, it is strongly recommended that you have one for TeamSpeak 3 as it is a voice comm system.

    3.
Rule: You are required to attend at least one practice a week (If one is scheduled
Why?: Practice allows us to operate more effectively along with many other things. If you cannot come to practice, just let us now, we're pretty understanding people and if you had to do something, you won't get in trouble. However, you may receive demerits if you do not come to practice and do not tell us that you're not going to be there/why you didn't make it.

    4.
    Rule: Come to scrims!
Why?: First off, THEY"RE FUN! Why else are you in a clan!? Scrims are a lot of fun and they're a major reason to be in a clan. If you don't come to any scrims, we'll be forced to assume you have no interest and you'll be removed from the clan. Just come to them! They're fun.

    Law Demerit System:

Every 2 consecutive weeks of practices a person misses without excuse is given 1 Demerit.

Demerits may also be given by the leaders for disciplinary issues.

You are only required to go to 1 practice a week. So, if there are two practices and you only go to one, you're fine.

As long as you post an excuse for missing practices, you are fine. That is it, write a simple post saying why you missed it, and you're not penalized. (Although you may fall under inactivity rules eventually)

Demerits expire 3 months after receiving them.

2 Demerits (in under 6 months) results in demotion They are also muted on TeamSpeak 3 for the next 5 scrims.

3 Demerits (in under 6 months) results in a demotion to Militia. (Also muted on TS3 for another 5 scrims)

4 Demerits (in under 6 months) results in expulsion from the clan (Kicked out of clan)

This is a system designed to weed out the people who don't actually play or are being more trouble than they're worth.

    The Defenders of Faith
The Defenders of Faith are led by an Archduke. The Archduke was decided in a one-time vote that took place when these changes were implemented. DoF is not a monarchy however. Matter of fact, the leader can never be referred to as king. The leader is not a king; he is simply a public leader. The leader is not an all-powerful leader however. He has checks and balances as well. With a new designed council, and sub-leader system. If deemed out of control a leader may have his power made nil after a vote (See specifics A) There is 1 head-leader with 2 sub leaders. The 2 sub leaders would be: The The Captain (Leader of the Army), and the Master Knight (Leader of the Knights). Why only one leader though? One leader benefits us greatly because we don't have problems of another leader doing something that cannot be controlled. (To prevent another leader starting a war for example.) It also makes it easier for us to communicate with other clans because they only need to know two people. Only the leader and the diplomat need to be known instead of trying to explain a more complicated system.

The council has a number of seats based on the population of our clan (30% to be exact, so if we have 10 members, we have 3 seats.) The council votes on issues regarding inner-clan things. The Council is a secondary job, however. So there will be no permanent council-member. (Ex, an assassin can be part of the council.) All council members are voted in by the general public through elections hosted by the Master Scribe. The council will be headed by The Head of Council. The Head of Council suggests what the council should vote for (70% is needed for something to pass.) A council-member's term is 1 month and there is no term cap (meaning you can be a consecutive member for as long as you are voted in) The Head of Council's term is 2 months. Located within the council there are 2 fixed positions. The Master Scribe and the Chief Diplomat. (Descriptions found under the council hierarchy picture) These two seats are secondary positions (once again, you have a primary rank ((like Sergeant)) and you may optionally have a second one. The Master Scribe is elected once every 2 months with no term cap. His vote is worth 1 point. The Diplomat is assigned by The Lord of DoF. This is the only council official that is not publicly elected. His vote is worth 1 point. Due to the open system of the council, a fail-safe has been included. In the event of the council considered unconstitutional and out of control, martial law can be declared by a combined effort of the Leader and the sub-leaders (See Specifics B) This makes the council's power nil until the problem has been dealt with.

    Council Hierarchy:

Master Scribe: (SECONDARY JOB) The Master Scribe is the Master of the inner-clan. He deals with hosting the election, setting up RP, requesting jobs of the Chief Diplomat, and informing everyone of news.
Scribe: (SECONDARY JOB, NOT A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL) The Scribe can be one or more people assigned by the Master Scribe to assist the Master Scribe. The Scribes can have some of the less important work delegated to them for them to prepare (maybe making an RP event)
Chief Diplomat: (SECONDARY JOB) The Chief Diplomat deals with all other clans concerning issues big and small. He is the link between DoF and the outside world.
Diplomat: (SECONDARY JOB, NOT A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL) The Diplomat is one or more people assigned by the Chief Diplomat to assist the Chief Diplomat. The Diplomats are delegated some of the less important inter-clan work. Such as preparing letters (who will then be looked over the Chief Diplomat) and dealing directly with low-priority direct inter-clan communication (such as sending a simple message to an ally)

    Specifics A: Archduke Treason
In the event of such an event happening. The sub-leader who wishes to charge the Archduke with treason shall talk with a Forum Admin telling him that the charge has been made. As soon as the Forum Admin acknowledges the charge, The Archduke shall be given the rank of "Probation" During this phase the Archduke will be a "Lame duck" meaning he is in office, but currently has no power. The plaintiff has exactly 1 week from when the Archduke goes on probation to present the evidence and have the sub-leaders vote. The vote requires a 1/2 Sub-leader agreement, and an overall backing in the Council of Internal Affairs. If the vote passes, a new Archduke of DoF election shall take place immediately that will last one week. If it does not pass, The Archduke is forbidden to demote the sub-leader who pressed charges. He may only be demoted if a counter-charge of treason is charged against him, and the proper evidence and sub-leader/council backing (1/2 leaders, 51% council) is present.

    Specifics B: Council Treason

The Archduke or a Sub-Leader(s) may call out a charge of treason against the council if it is deemed unconstitutional. In the event of this, the AD/SL must present their evidence and have it voted on exactly 1 week after the charge. During the week the clan is under martial law and the council is forbidden to vote on anything or push anything forward. If three leaders agree the Council is out of control (3 leaders as in ex; AD + 2 SLs,) and it is passed they may choose to either purge the council (force all council members to resign) or disband the council permanently (This would require a supporting popular vote of at least 51%)

Considering our name "The Defenders of Faith" and our banner (Shown below) it is understandable that one might assume that the Defenders of Faith are a religious/Christian clan.

However, while some of our war cries do include the word "God" and our banner holds a Christian cross, WE. ARE. NOT. A. CHRISTIAN. CLAN.

We are Templar Lore. It's a role playing identity, the Templars fit the time period. (In Short, Templars were crusading knights during the medieval times who crusaded in the name of God)

I urge you to listen to this disclaimer though:

    DISCLAIMER:
The Defenders of Faith is a multicultural clan of various religious faiths and beliefs and what banners we bare, what war cries we say, do not necessarily represent the personal religious beliefs of the clan members. The Defenders of Faith do not endorse a specific religion or take an official stance on religion. Any comment you see by a Defender of Faith member regarding religion is of their PERSONAL belief, and does not represent DoF as a whole.

Gosh dang, can you stop bloody copying DoF information? Use your bloody mind to make up your OWN clan. You already got banned from Taleworlds for doing this crap. I get its a different game, but its still not cool to COMPLETELY and utterly copy DoF's Taleworlds. YOU EVEN STOLE MY BLOODY DISCLAIMER OFF THE DOF WEBSITE?! (scroll down to the bottom http://www.defendersoffaith.com ) Errrgh, can you just get a life? or at least make your own bloody information and STOP plagiarizing, its really really starting to piss me off.

To people of this community: This is NOT the actual Defenders of Faith from Mount and Blade, this is some bloody punk who keeps stealing DoF information because hes too lazy to make up his own stuff.

Lol.. You didnt have to post that Khraven. First off no one knows DoF from MB.. Not many people care. Secondly not many people even use these forums for clan activity such as MB. If he stole your idea and put it here he wont get banned especially since total war is managed through steam groups and not here.

Whoa... well... I am sure no one knows who the DoF clan from Taleworlds is anyway... It really doesn't matter to me if this clan is a copy of that clan... this is RTW NOT Taleworlds. And I think you registered an account on this forum JUST to say that seeing as how you only have ONE post... lol

Default Re: Defenders of Faith Enlisting Now!

Yes Taleworlds is full of trolls and sissies... basically if someone says "hey your clan sucks" they say "oh well we will not play you then!" So basically they forfit matches because of simple trash talk... Other than that the game is dying out. Total war is always alive and always has new games and dlc coming. Even the older games of rtw and m2tw are still booming with players.
