Those are all great units. Especially the Saxon Huscarl, Samurai, Finnish Cannibal Mercenary, Irish Arras, Persian Horse Archer. Look forward to playing with the Irish units for ATW. Great job

Zhuge, I think I speak for most of the modding community when I say you have made an indelible mark here and elsewhere through your work. I for one truly appreciate everything you have done throughout a very well respected modding career. I have about 200 units I'd love to see you make, but I'll leave that to others to ask - just want to say good luck and peace.

I did do the basis of a model for you, but to be honest the unit bored me and without any passion for it, or clear conceptual art my work was only going to be poor and forced. As i did units for a hobby for fun i wasn't going to force myself to do anything, i hope you can respect that.

It took me a long time to get started on it because of being busy with troy - which i also informed would be the case.

Now just to remind people what i posted earlier (as i'm sure many won't read the last page)...
As some people may know, i have decided to retire from modding. As a result i would like to do one final unit for RTW, and i would like to start on it very soon. My work so far has covered a diverse range of soldiers, trojans, knights, samurai, chinese, amazons, irish, modern marines, achillies and king arthur to name but a few. For my last unit i would like a suggestion from somebody else at TWC. It can be anything from any era (i'd prefer something i haven't done already and that hasn't been done impeccably well by somebody else - as there would be no point). Please also make the suggestion challenging and if applicable post concept art or reference pictures. If you want something historically accurate then please provide me with every single detail you want included.

Post your suggestions, the unit can be for a mod or for personal use.

Damn these spartans look great man good work, ive been waiting for someone to make these ever since i heard about the movie... Maybe this is a problem with my computer but how come they appear to have swords in their hands when in close combat?

I'm not sure what you mean, they don't have a sword model.

They only have a spear and so the entry on export_descr_units should either have pike (phalanx) as primary and spear as secondary weapons, or just have a primary spear weapon and use the shield wall formation.

They have been made at a level of detail for M2TW. Once it comes out it will just be a case of getting them in the game, which is why i'm saying that they are subject to change.
