Considering what you ask is false, I have no idea how to answer it.

Knight attacks range anywhere from the 4 found in Mailed Knights for certain factions, all the way up to the 12 that the Teutonic Ritterbruders sport with a one handed sword attack. Two-hander attacks go even higher.

Same goes with the Morale, it is extremely high for almost every knight I know of, sometimes absurdly high (Like Templars).

EDIT: What Knights have you noticed that have low attacks and morale?

Well. İn descr-units file there are lof and untrained parameters on most knights. And 4 attack damage isnt a little bit low. İ mean there are units with 28 points of defence.

SS uses the RealCombat system of stats. Attack and defense values are derived from real life data.

Yes attack values are lower across the board than vanilla, but that doesn't mean that their not effective. A unit with an attack of 4 can still damage a unit with 28 defense. The system isn't that black and white.

    Lordberk...

Please take Stainless Steel out for a test drive and see how things pan out on the campaign map. I've played SS6.1 thru SS6.3 and without
any problems with the things that you are worried about...

For an attack of 4 are you talking about Men at Arms ? They have a lower attack because they are not knights, they just wear good armor.

Most knight attacks (discounting mailed knights) are at least a 6 when mounted, 8 when dismounted. Danemark, Scotland, and the HRE have Fuedal Knights with an attack of 4 due to poor pounted troops. But the dismounted versions are idential to other factions.

    It is all relative.

Try out some custom battles and see how they go.

The 4 he's talking about might be the damage of the lance. Those have low damage because they're not good melee weapons. Their strength comes from the charge, which is why the charge bonus is so big compared to the damage inflicted by the lance when the unit is stationary.

Read the RR/RC guide to see exactly how all the values were attained.
