The Gaul who opens the door grunts and beacons for you to you to follow.You are led past a room full of Gauls and down a corridor filled with scribes and ex-military officers,ou finally reach a door that is closed,the Gaul waves you in bowing sarcastically.

"Yes, thanks for allowing me in your home, Senator," he said, realizing he could be mad about his words in the senate.

"I wanted to have a word with you about Pallas and your encounters with him." he paused, noticing the senator's expression's change as he mentioned Pallas.

"I agree with you. The man is a snake and we ought to watch him carefully. However, to strike a snake from the front, exposing her venom covered fangs, is foolish. Any hawk knows that the only way to strike is to soar and wait, patiently, until her defense is down, and then strike quickly and without mercy. That is how we must destroy him. Play his game, get to know him, then bring him down!" he hit the floor with his foot as he finisht the sentence. Then looked back up at Caldius's attentive eyes.

The problem with trying to out think Pallas in the political area is that the man is simply far too unpredictable,even now I have no idea of his motives,or even if he has any other then the pursuit of power.Not to mention that he has his own lackeys in the Senate.

Either way,what we need are allies.

Faustus Imperious whom Aulus had just endorsed arrived at the home of the former Tribune and was greeted at the door by a slave. "I've come to see Aulus."

"Yes of course, follow me sir."

You follow the slave through a maze of corridors with identical doors lining the walls,the corridor suddenly ends with a much more imposing door which the slave opens.

"Master,the Nobel Faustus Imperious has arrived."

Please Faustus take a seat.

Faustus nodded at the slave and took a seat, he held with him a piece of pottery which held wine inside, it was a rather small, clay made object but it was none the less wine.

Ah, Faustus so good to see you!

He turns to the slave.

I'm rapidly becoming anxious about some of the thing you have been saying in the Senate,ordinarily I would prise honesty but this is a very sensitive time,politically.

"Of course it is." Faustus attempted to remain neutral when he was outside of the Curia, he wished not to bring harm to him for his actions outside of the Curia. "It is a time where we need to refocus and set our priorities straight."

Faustus Imperious it is vital that things go like this: Pallas will win the Consulate, he will be ordered to continue his Campaign in Macedonia, as soon as he crosses the Sacred boundary of Rome I will propose he be recalled to face charges of illegal warfare, you will second the motion, once it passes,which it will,I will then have him tried and executed and then get myself appointed Consul Suffectus, Pallas dies,none of his supporters hold office and in the year after next, Poplicola will get his just desserts for his numerous crimes against the people.

Faustus nodded as Aulus spoke, it was a grand plan, possible? Entirely, but Faustus was not about to make any moves so swiftly. "Aulus, that is entirely contingent that I become Tribune, because if Gerges becomes Tribune...he can veto the motion."

"It is not a matter of who votes where Aulus, it's a matter of who is Tribune. If Gerges wins...your motion is dead because it becomes vetoed." Faustus reiterated to the Senator.

But he won't because of how the votes for Tribune will be split.

Faustus sighed and nodded. "When the time comes Aulus, I will consider it, I can promise you that." Faustus nodded at the Senator. "However...where does that leave the Republic? The People? You as Dictator?"
