Why is there 20,000 horsemen for Rohan in the second movie but 6000 for the battle of Pelennor fields?

They don't have 20,000 horsemen. I think it's only 2000.

Jeez. Next we'll be discussing how those 300.000 elves at Hornburg (Helm's Deep) couldn't hold out against 10.000 uruks. I mean Legolas alone killed like forty-two THOUSAND orcs.
