Italian Mod
Anyone want to work with me on a mod?
It will be about Italy, will include Venice, Milan, HRE, Normans, Papal States, Spain, France and the Byzantines but will also add various city states such as Genoa, Pisa, Ferrara, Mantua, Florence and the Kingdom of 2 Sicilies (replacing Normans in later campaigns) etc.
It will have several campaigns including the Italian wars, the Norman invasions, the Rule of the Harlots, and a campaign based around the Borgia family. It will not add a large amount of units, but might add some, such as a powerful citizen infantry unit like the one Machiavelli created, which will be for Florence. The diplomacy will be different, alliances will be easier to form but will also shatter much more easily, and social unrest will be quite common in most nations with the exceptions of Venice, 2 Sicilies and to a lesser extent Byzantium.

Re: Italian Mod
Can you mod? or is just an idea? & I am sorry but if Alliances are so meaningless in the mod then just remove them? ( Cannot be done I do not think, I think the Alliance feature is HC ~ & if it is about Italy why add the Bizzies, Hre & Spain ( & not Portugal too!) may be you mean Aragon? but they had no significant dealings with the Italian Mainland?
but good luck with this! You Want Italy? research the "Housekeepers" mods!

Re: Italian Mod
Yes, I can mod, although I don't think I have the right software to model. What I need are graphic designers and modelers. I can edit the text and do the historical research myself too. Other people to also edit text files would be appreciated too.
I think that the factions I listed should remain in the game, as the HRE was established in Northern Italy (and in some cases in the South), and France's invasion of Italy lead to the collapse of many small nations in Italy, and lead to the Spanish invasion/domination of northern Italy. In the earlier campaign the Byzantines will be needed, as they were one of the dominant powers in Italy until the Normans drove them out, although I am unsure what happened to the Exarchate of Ravenna. Alliances will still be of importance, but I will have to find a way to make the importance only short term, with longer term alliances breaking easily. I understand why you would ask if I meant Aragon rather than a generic Spanish faction, although In my opinion separate Spanish factions are not necessary as both Spanish invasions only involved one Spanish faction.
