This is what it says if you hover over King Kong's ungodly (and well deserved) reputation: King Kong doesn’t feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever.

What a shame to have such meaningless reputation message for such an icon on these boards. First off, what "dots" are we even talking about? And further, why doesn't this statement even agree on it's tense? It starts in present tense and ends in future tense? Really?

Better would be, King Kong wouldn't feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever (all in future tense) or King Kong doesn’t feel any pity if one of those dots stops moving forever (all in present tense). Why start a statement in present tense and end it in future tense. I mean really, this is supposed to be the ultimate reputation message, yet it's unclear, poorly written, and uninspiring! And again, what dots!?!

ANyways, this is better suited for the Bugs and Suggestions forum if you want the grammar changed.

I'm fine with this thread being closed. I put it here in honor of King Kong. I don't need to see 100 replies or anything. So Louis if the original quote is "Would you really feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever?" then it is best apapted as something like:

"No, King Kong really wouldn't feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever" or more simply "King Kong wouldn't feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever."

And it's now against the rules to create threads about other forum members? I seem to recall a HUGE thread in the Stainless Steel forum on Kongism. All about the Kong, and not against the rules, at least, at the time it wasn't.

I agree the phrase is not grammatically correct, still don't see what this has to do with TA.

It is against the ToS to make threads about the other members but Local moderators and devs are granted a bit more freedom and control on their forums.

I guess it has about as much to do with TA as the Kongism thread had to do with Stainless Steel. I generally go out of my way to adhere to forum rules, but I guess this is just one of those rare moments where I'm being a bit of an "outlaw."
