    Default Purchasing M2TW From Steam

Does anyone know if the version of M2TW purchased from Steam still has Securom for it's copywrite protection?

    I don't see how, as Securom is a disc-based protection isn't it?

    True.
SecuROM is a CD/DVD copy protection and DRM (digital rights management) product developed by Sony DADC.

Thanks. But I had purchased the DVD version of the game a year or so back. I could not install it because of Securom, so I returned it.

Yeah Securom does that there is a easy solution for this though.

Just curious, but what's the easy solution. And, it really has to be easy, I'm afraid I'm not exactly a rocket scientist.

It depends on what type of settings you have like if you have nero installed then it gives you some issues as there is a conflict with their emulation software.
Securom gives error when it fails to detect the game CD/DVD this generally happens with 2 drives or a virtual drive install so one has to either use the default drive or disable the virtual drive on his computer.
Another theory could be that another game like SimII etc uses different version of Securom so....
