CA has released a new balance and gameplay fix patch
General Changes
Lag is now optional and can be disabled in the settings tab.
When creating a server, the player can choose if its a hacks allowed or hacks banned server.
Once cavalry has engaged infantry they can no longer form squares.
Light infantry is now max 4
Rifles are now max 2
Lancers are now max 4
All noob maps have been removed and replaced with a whole bunch of new maps with no houses and
fair Terrain. All maps now have gentle rolling hills with patches of light forrest. No more steep hills and house battles.
Rockets have been removed from the game because they are historically inaccurate, unbalanced and banned from most games anyway.
Expensive generals now have a high benefit than lower generals.
A new leagues and ladders system has been implemented, similar to that of Starcraft 2.
A new detection trigger has been implemented which starts a 60 second countdown timer that automatically ends the game if one player has remained in the spawn for longer than 4 minutes. If a player doesnt leave the spawn after 5 minutes than the other player is awarded a win by default.
The score screen and replay save option is displayed after the game is over. eg. Players start the battle. One player wins and the game ends. The players are then taken to the score screen and the option is there so that they may save a replay if they want. This works almost the same as what is already being implemented in Starcraft 2.
A new hack / cheat detection program is now being used on all games. Players will now get perminantly banned for using cheats / hacks.
New units have been added to give better balance in multiplayer. All factions now have strenghts and weaknesses and no faction is overpowered.
Players can now edit the colour and look of their units as promised before release.
AI has been replaced by a small asian man who plays against you whenever a player drops.
