Default Computer Help - Keeps Shutting Down

After a few minutes or so of any game, my computer will completely turn off. Not just a CTD, but just shut off. Otherwise, I can surf the internet, watch videos, listen to music, etc. Any ideas of what this could be?

It's happened on Crysis, Tropico 3, Just Cause 2, Empire: Total War and GTA IV so far

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
    Memory: 2046MB RAM
    Hard Drive: 549 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_rtm.061101-2205)
    Motherboard: P5N-E SLI
    Power Suppy: 650 Watts

I'm fairly convinced it's a power supply issue, most other issues would have something like a BSOD or an error message or something, the computer simply shutting off when a game is is loaded up (higher usage than net, movies, etc) is probably a PSU issue. Can't be sure though.

What brand/model power supply do you have?

Judging from Core2Duo system your RAM is old so it could be that RAM has gone faulty and given up but you bought this graphics new or upgraded it as far as i can see could be that the PSU is generic and not giving the new guy what he needs that is proper power.

So please verify this & my money is on PSU just like crusty.

The PSU is a good make and more than enough on wattage. If you have more than one stick(RAM) then unplug one try if it doesn't crashes on one stick then you know which one is faulty you might wanna check the PSU power outputs maybe this one is faulty or something.

It ended up being my PSU overheating cause it was too dusty. So I took a compressed air tool and blew it out and its fine now
