MTW2 Input not supported error

The game used to work, but then when I got a new graphics card (specs at bottom) the video stopped working. All that would happed is a white box would pop up saying "Input not supported". The games loads fine and there is sound as well but the video won't come in. I've tried re-installing it many times. I'm stumped and could use some help.

Before you installed your new card, did uninstall the old drivers and run a program like Driver Sweeper?

Have you tried deleting the medieval2.preferences.cfg?

Thanks a alot. But now that I have the game working i have encountered a strange glitch. When I end turns two years pass on the status scren but my people age only every 2 turns

You're right. It is that way. One summer plus one winter equals one year. But the vanilla game you are playing is set up one turn equals two years. It actually takes four years for your character to age one.

Many mods have it redone to suit the mod. Mine is two turns per year so they age properly.

Regions and Provinces mod. Kingdoms based.

In various degrees, I think all the mods do, now. It depends on the style of play you are looking for to go with it.

Stainless Steel, Third Age and DLV are probably the most modified, mine is probably about the least.

Broken Crescent will work without Kingdoms.

No. It's the same in all versions.

The mod is great, but it doesn't fix the normal game. I figure there has to be some way to fix the normal game.

It won't fix the normal gane. You'd have to edit the descr_strat.txt to do it.
