I didn't ask that, but I make sure to do that.

Ok, I fixed the sprite issue. They were reversed.

how about reskinning those old thurephoproi and thorakitai you borrowed from EB with the help of my dear friend Algaman! what do you say?![]()
I'm pretty sure Leif reskinned them all thanks.
Yes, not really intentional - it makes them too powerful. The other unit that ought really to have fewer numbers is the corsicosardinian archers....they should be taken down to the standard archer number too. There are still 240 soldiers in Spartan Archers unit, at least in Macedonian Campaign in 2.1a
I don't think it was intentional.
It means edits to all the EDUs though.

I don't think it was intentional. Also, some units could use another face. For example, Companions cavalry would look much better with a more detailed head.
I can fix (and am in the process of doing so) the Spartan Archer....but the corsico sardinian infantry unit is a bit of a puzzle to me. It is classed as infantry, but it's primary weapon is arrows. There's another unit like this somewhere I can't remember...some armored archer guy....that is also infantry armed with arrows as a primary. Would it be better to reduce their ammo instead? Rather than the number of units? Otherwise, they really don't fit in the 'infantry' class at all.

Oh, they aren't any good anyway... I never really made good use of them. Poor both as archers and infantry.
I've noticed an error in the traits in the campaign I'm playing....one character who is an equestrian is both lawyer and publican. Shouldn't the sets of careers be antitraits of each other? Same for the plebeian ones.
Someone else pointed out to me that Evocati can't form testudo... since they are retired legionnaires called back up to fight with the equipment they had when they retired, shouldn't they be able to do so?

Cretan Archers still available to Romans after building the Curia Hostilia in Cyprus (accidentally built it ahead of my campaign schedule) - suspect this may be the case elsewhere. They should not be available in the Curia hostilia at all.
Incidentally, you can't build Roman Legions (i.e. the generic variety) in the Roman Fortress, which strikes me as odd, as the Romans were recruiting legions everywhere up until Actium and then Augustus' reforms kicked in (which are represented by the building of the Curia Hostilia), so logically, beforehand, if there are no named/numbered legions available in an area, the player should be able to recruit the generic variety as well, so that you can in fact have a Legio XII, when you've got a Legio XI and XIII, for example..
Anyways, just a thought.

I've been doing a little tweaking of the descr_geography.db to make the rocky desert climate a bit less bumpy....it's too much so at the moment I think, in places.
Any other tweaks while I'm at it? Do we need less forest generally or are we OK with that?

I suppose forests could be a bit less dense...but not much. I'm still not convinced that the amount of trees (other than how it taxes the video), has all that much to do with the CTD's. Some people have no problems, and others nothing but. It just seems that PC's are different, and some not handling the chosen settings very well.
rory o'kane: as of patch 2.1, Cretan Archers are only available up to the Marian Reforms, and they are not recruitable in the Roman Hostilia at all, so I'm not sure what you're seeing. Are you up to Patch 2.1?
