    Default That Crazy Irish/Scottish Music

    Arite,

So for the last however many years I've played SS, I've always wondered what that damn music was. It was too good to be unknown. So finally, with the advent of the great Iphone/Android apps that can identify a song by analyzing its sound, I found it!

The original apparently was by Scottish born Dougie Maclean and named "The Gael".

The version that appears in the game however seems to be the slightly edited version adapted for the movie Land of the Mohicans.
This version was by the composer Trevor Jones.

So there you have it. Probably the best track on the game soundtrack in my opinion.

PS: The iphone/android app actually only mentions Trevor Jones - Land of the Mohicans.

    Enjoy.

Actually, out of curiousity, has anyone compiled a full soundtrack for all music tracks included in this mod? If not, maybe we should start such a list here.
Simply post the filename used to describe the clip in the music folder, then post the artist and track name following. Ie:

filename - artist - track name

It seems alot of hassle for one person to go through all the clips individually and try to identify them all. I've seen random scatterred discussions and guesses on the matter on other forums. I think we can collectively compile a reference for every clip of music present in the game.

    Should be worthwile.

    Enjoy.

Or you could've just done a search on this forum as that question has been asked and answered many times previously...

True enough, but I never usually visit these forums for more than the download thread.
I just thought I'd share this one thing in case someone else out there was also wondering.

Yes, I have absolutely no idea what you mean.

[SPOILER]If you take a look at the music folder in SS game directory you can see the names of the songs and their composers (chck the details of the music file OR change your folder view as "details" to see them).

Oh and by the way, I love that song as well.
Thanks for the above. Sadly the details are often incomplete or missing. I do check there initially.

Merged your quadrouple post. You can multiquote in such cases
Yes, I have absolutely no idea what you mean.

The name of the song is Promentory, I have the Last of The Mohicans Soundtrack.

This version is different than the one used on the soundtrack, the intro for SS 6.1 was the soundtrack version, not the linked version, but its the same song.

If you want the song, acquire the soundtrack. Cheers.

No problem, but how come the details are missing or incomplete? They're perfectly fine in my directory. Composers are in the details, only the titles seems missing at first glance, but not really, titles are written in the file name instead of details part.

Example: (Kingdoms_Credits)_Lift_Thine_Eyes.mp3 is the file name. In the details you can see the composers: "Angela & Jeff van Dyck." And the name of the song is in the file name: "Lift Thine Eyes."

But some files are simply stated as (Campaign_Map)_Bagpipe_Chant_01 and such, but I guess because they're not really songs but just short musics (about 15-20 sec long ) we hear in the background of the campaigns.

No I do not, what do you mean Back to SS6.3? What are you using now? SS6.2?
Confused by the "Not so strong" statement.

There is a topic around here on how to integrate it back into 6.3
