Hello All, It is good to be back

for a weak now people in my neighborhood played this song over and over again so I would like to find out how non-Lebanese and non-Arabs would find it.

This type of music is -for some reason- the trend in today's Lebanese music. It is freakishly popular

I see Here is the translation :

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

we loved each others when we were young. we were the best friends in our neighbor hood. the words in your promises were erased. and you forgot me as easily as you drink water.

your parents let you walk on feathers. And my family is very poor
even if you were the queen. you can't play me like that.

your now the daughter of a nobelty.. and I am just the son of a peasant... I don't know what happened to your heart.. but I can't live with it any more.

look you daughter of the higher class. your begging will not work again.keep your tears to your self. Forget your love... forget me.

you are now a different species.. from a different mud.. and different fealings. my heart is hard and you can't step on it... even if you owned the othman army!

let the money benefit you.. since you have sold my heart.. new car and phone each month.. and numbers growing in your account.. now you have come telling me to come back.. our love was lost.. I am not like you I am used to live a humble life.

Ugh, just like Balkan folk music. Give it a bit more modern sound, even simpler music and half naked women with fake body and it's turbo folk.
    Has signatures turned off.

oh, ok...I guess people in Lebanon really haven't heard of a sugar momma.

A sugar momma is a girl you date who has more money than you, and she gives you lots of money.

people in the west love money, you see, and I can't fathom a guy ever saying "Girl, you are far too rich, I can't date you or love you. I want to go back to being a peasant and you should go back to your mansion and fancy cars and leave me alone."

Ah, it reminds me of the school-skippers and their relatives who like to annoy me when I stroll through the city and think "hanging" or "chillin' " is more important than actually doing something with your life.
't is a thing of difference in culture maybe, but I doubt that there is music I detest more, I'd rather listen to a 4 hour symposium about dadaïsm in vocal art

Men here -myself included- dislike to marry A richer woman. It threatens our manhood in some way. If the man doesn't provide money to his wife what is he good for

It used to be that way here too. Then, the 90's happened. After that gender roles stopped being as important.

Nowadays lots of women work, and attain high positions such as CEOs of their companies, while their husbands stay at home with the children.

Sorry, but that guy has nothing on Amr Diab. You listen to him much? Also Arabic music is pretty awesome but I'm more into Bhangra and Eurodance.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."

Arabic singing sounds a bit whiny to be honest. Reminds me of a quran verse lol.

Nice blouse though. And nice girl...
