    Default Laptop decision

I'll be getting a new laptop soon. Which of these would be better for games?

I understand that laptops are not ideal for games, but it's all I need. I can't justify spending tons of money on a desktop for gaming. Anyway, I play older games (like RTW and M2TW) and I know that neither of these utilizes a dual core, let alone a quad core. So would it be wise for me to get the quad core, or just stick with the dual core? Which one is the better bet, and why?

$750 is my max, but $700 is better.

    Thanks for any help.

Go for the second one out of the two.
This one has the same graphics card and it's processor is faster than the first but moreover it has a max resolution of 1366 x 768 that is ideal for laptops anything above that means drop in fps causing headaches while gaming.
And most of the games utilize Dual cores so you can avoid Quad thing.

Most games just use 2 cores, however having more than 2 means your FPS in games would be higher as background system tasks can be offloaded to a different core. However on a laptop You are better of with a dual core. Quad cores are always at lower clocks then the dual cores you can get. Especially that AMD quad, the clocks are decent but it performs less than an intel CPU at the same clock.

And as Ishan said you are better off with the lower resolution screen.
