I'm right in the middle of my worst ever run of games. I've won 2 in 12 and i've crashed out of 2 games that i was winning as well. I know we're not meant to care about the ranking system but i've gone down from 35k to 27k and down to 4 stars. It's like i've forgotten how to play. I know winning isn't evrything but bloody hell!

In all seriousness though i think the general standard of players for 1 v1s has improved a lot since i first started playing at least that's my excuse. Anyone else had any bad runs recently? I was no pointman before but i genuinely feel like i'm getting worse.

Yeah, it's heck of annoying. I would have about 10,000 points more if it hadn't been for crashs.
Sure ranks don't mean much... and this is one of the reasons

It's a bit frustrating. That said i think more and more players are getting the hang of the game and making better use of lights and cav. Maybe there are fewer easy games and up just need to up my game and clean up issuing orders to the wrong unit or messing up y groups

Dont even bother about ranked in this game.it only really matters if you play a certain way all the time and you have to put up with lame games all the time,just be happy with 4 or 5 stars to show people your not a complete noob.This way you get to kick people who are just going to camp and just enjoy the game.
I think i got up to 8 stars but have been on 5 for a while,mostly due to crashes tbh,but yeah unless you play a certain way ranked is nothing the game is just to unbalanced.

Dont worry
having more points than someone doesnt mean you are better or worse then they are (contrary to popular noob beliefs)

It just means they have won more ranked battles than you, and in most cases, it means they were able to use exploits or noob tactics such as light inf spam to rob noobs of points better than you can.

And anyway, can someone tell me where that funny troll Major hemm went ? Has he settled down under his bridge into troll retirement?

Most of the time, having lots of stars is a bad thing because people leave your games coz they think they wil get raped ( but they will anyway?) so at least you'll get a game.

I know of several players who have actually lost ranked games on purpose so they can get rid of their 9 star ratings so that people will actually join their games.

i got 7 or 8 bu i want 4 or 5 but cant be arsed to lose them

Stars are a pretty accurate representation of your skill level.

For example, Pointman is a noob and he has only about 4 - 5 stars so I think its a really good system
