I will hope that you are asking a serious question and are not trolling. Perhaps you should become a little more familiar with the history of the time period and what an important part of the economy and everyday life the Jewish people were.

Oh, did some research by myself. sorry, but it could otherwise easily be misunderstood by people who don't have good knowledge in medieval times

Oops... You're right. I brought that back in BB thinking it was a 'nice mechanic', it didn't occur to me that it didn't really make any sense.

OK... I can link the trade bonus from the synagogue to the market events, so that it fluctuates along with the market. And remove the Judaism requirement for recruiting merchants. So it's good for trade and investment, but doesn't act as a requirement for merchants.

The banking thing... How about giving the Knights Templar the same facility?

And before someone asks; no, I don't much like the idea of giving an option to persecute them if you owe them money.

why take it out? its historical and makes it harder to earn income in the early game. later on merchants are 90% of my income. i can see where the average joe ho doesnt know could interpret it as racist but tis just encourages historical research for those who don't. plus its not like jews weren't persecuted in the mideval era just like now.

It's true, Templars acted as bankers too. But I don't think they did much in the way of 'usery' They operated more like a 'savings and loan' to facilitate the transportation of wealth for pilgrims etc.
At least that's what little I know.

Many Jews lived in Ireland and Scotland during the Medieval era. I know, I'm a Scottish Jew with records showing my ancestors living in Scotland in the 11th Century.
