Default Crashes and a few observations

SS 6.3, no sub mods, turn 101 about, seem to keep getting crashes on big battles, it saids unspecified error and will now close. Turned down to med graphics and sometimes still happens. Any ideas????

Also something Ive noticed, The Norwegians seem to be way to overpowered, 1 on 1 theyre units are way to powerful. I cant match them with anything if they have a fully stacked army. For instance the Norse Archers are just as good or better than the English and the English Archers are supposed to be their strongpoint???? I had to declare war on Norway just to stop them taking over the map.
    Playing on hard/hard.

The deployed stakes that the enemy can lay like the Norse Archers, do they affect only cavalry or anyone that crosses them? Can your own deployed stakes kill your own men?

    Any advice welcome........................

Try turning down grass, might help.

Norway has strong infantry, but lacks good cavalry. Norse archers are weak compared to other nations' archers.
Stakes only kill cavalry. It can kill your own.
