    Default Putting computer together

    Greetings.

Now that Christmas is coming, I'm planning to replace my old video card (Radeon X1300, don't ask how the hell did I manage to play all them uber games). I'm going quite cheap now, but something like HD 5750, HD 5670 or HD 5570, still thinking. What I meant to ask was that, might there be any compatibility issues? Like that video cars can't be installed to my computer or something. I need new power supply, that I know, but anything else I should look out for?

You need to check the Motherboard, make sure it can handle PCIe (I think with the x1300 you were anyways, but I can't recall). What OS you running?

Most likely you have either PCIex 1.0 or 2.0 slot so you can put in the new card but we do need to know the MOBO you have use CPU-Z to tell us that.

Ok, after a while, I downloaded the program. What kind of info should I post?

I recommend the AMD 5770. That's what I'm running, works very well, about 140 USD.

    I concur for mid-range HD5770 or GTX460 are very good G.cards.

the value of the 5770 diminished due to the price drop of the gtx 460, i vouch for the latter, more power and the same price

I'M using a 5770 its the best card if you prefer quality and price rather than Performance.

    DX11 Ready
    Decent Core speeds
    Good Heat Dispersion
    Very nice looking card
Small for its size and quality

I think you should really invest in a 5770 IMO.

Either the 5770 or the GTX 460 are good buys. The GTX 460 is a better card, but it's also more expensive. So price, or performance?

    Wrong Quality or performance.

They are not exactly differ prices in the long run.

    Prices vary with different models.

Well if that's the case, I'd go with the GTX 460.

The GTX 460 is a better card. The HD 5770 has better power consumption, that's about it. GTX 460 beats it in just about everything else.

    I agree GTX460 FTW!
And these are both mid-range cards how cares about their power consumptions they are just little babies compared to other monsters like GTX480 etc.

And SLI Vs Xfire, 460 thrashes 5770 very badly.

Nobody is saying that it's a bad card we are just saying that if one can spend a few dollars more then purchase a 460 otherwise there is nothing wrong with 5770 in any case.
And i have a 5870 and i feel the same about it, even though there are cards better than it.

Just the motherboard tab one and see the PSU wattage as well then we can tell.

Yeah you need to hook a good PSU around 600W or something and then put a new card GTX460 or a HD5770 depending upon your budget.
HD6850 is a better choice though but expensive in comparison.^
