Uhhh... It plays thru til the 1500's. As does the late era. Early eara you start from scratch, late era infrastructure's already up and running...

Yes. Ideea is late era start in 1220, with more developed provinces and factions, and 1100 start mean you must start with 120 years before, plenty of time to change a lot. The big difference is you will enjoy commoners with just a spear and a shield ussualy.

I'm playing M/M and have Norway attacking Nottingham, France and Scotts dominating the sea and 2 of my armies in Scotland attempting to capture Edinburgh or however you spell it. I have a hand full of soldiers to aid in the battle for Nottingham castle I should win if they manage to group together. I tried to invade Ireland with several Spearmen militia and archers half a stack in total. Last time I do that. Dublin was full to the brink and Galway had those Yeomen archers who just slaughtered my archers. I also lost Caenn. Was focussing too much on Britain to be fair.

This mods pretty hardcore in the sense of its hard to recruit and upgrade at the same time especially for good traits.

Alright, so by playing an early era campaign, I will still get to see handgunners, elite cavalry, etc after a while?

A very long while, somewhere around 1375 you get a "Handgunner" event.

Pffft... It's a slaughter in England. I have no allies, no money and the pope is like "Noooo please don't attack the Scotts I love them too much and hate you so much"... When Scottland was knocking on the gate of York there was no please don't attack England, as with Norway. It's actually infuriating me the fact that I seem to be in an endless war with Norway who I can't stop because they won't accept a ceasefire. There is a major lack of European conflict however, everyone is jumping on the Britian band wagon.

    Handgunners are available in 1301-1302.
