Map and weather
Can someone point to me the way to get realistic weather in rome total war? I really liked what the roma surrectum team did with their weather effects. However, I would like to play other mods as well so I was hoping that someone could show me how to extract the weather and their map so I could use it in Darthmod

Re: Map and weather
If it's the campaign map graphics you want, I can help you there as I've done it myself!
These are the files you need to copy from Roma Surrectum:
In the Data folder:
descr_aerial_map_ground_types.txt
descr_climates.txt
In the Data->Terrain->Aerial Map folder:
ground types folder
sea folder
template_weights folder
tile_textures folder
tree_models folder
detail_texture.tga.dds
water.TGA.dds
Just copy those over to the main Rome Total War folder and put them in the appropriate places and it should work! (It works for me perfectly)
Be sure to make backups first though!
Edit: I've also got the HDR from Roma Surrectum working in the regular game. If you want that too (it looks better, in my opinion) then go to Roma Surrectum->data->_IMPORTANT_STUFF->HDR and copy the d3d8.dll and the descr_battle_map_lighting_and_fog_control.txt and enbseries.ini files from the style you like (dark, light, default) into the main Rome Total War folder.
