You could've made that poll with this thread![]()
I have approximate answers and possible beliefs, and different degrees of certainty about different things, but I’m not absolutely sure of anything, and many things I don’t know anything about. But I don’t have to know an answer. I don’t feel frightened by not knowing.

If you lads want to come up with a list of things you want added to the poll I'll see what I can do but I'm not going to add them one at a time.

I lean Protestant but I don't officially subscribe to any sect or organized religion. My experiences with Catholicism have been negative, as has been my experiences with born again Christians.

I believe that Christianity is united in its similarities more than seperated by its differences.
I like to use the Nicean creed as an example, I think the first few passages can pretty much be agreed by a majority of Christians (Mormons nonwithstanding, filoque also nonwithstanding)
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
Me personally I lean more toward Catholicism, I've been going to Catholic church and am entering INQUIRY to see if it's right for me. I also am a firm believer in Ted Dibiasm, the fact that everyone has a price and everyone has to pay, because the Million DOllar Prons ALWAYS gets his pay.

CamilleBonparte,
Can you put a liitle more meat on the bone as I am a born again Christian? Like in all walks there are born again Christians and those that have been told they are born again, so there is a huge difference here.
Non denominational, Have nothing against any other christian denominations. Enjoy catholicisms history but their church services are boring for lack of a better word. I understand that mormons (a lot of mormons are christian becuase they dont believe or dont know about the wierd non christian aspects) are not christian but they do raise some good kids, if only they could tweak their religion to become christian.
I come in peace, I didn't bring artillery. But I am pleading with you with tears in my eyes: If you F___ with me, I'll kill you all.

I identify as a Protestant Christian, but not with a particular denomination within Protestantism. Theres simply no viable choices where I live- most ascribe to liberal theology or are Catholic- though if/when I move out of the area I'll probably make an effort to pick a particular Church.

Lots of Protestants don't believe in the Virgin Mary actually being a Virgin, no?
I'm personally an orthodox Roman Catholic. And by orthodox, I mean I believe what the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, not what I made up for myself, and call Catholicism.

Friends, a thread was already created on this subject, but the author neglected to add a poll. Since I love glorifying myself, I decided to create a new thread, but with a poll.Give me all credit for the idea, and ignore him!
It would be nice if you could identify which denomination you voted for, and give apologetic reasons for it. Make them succinct and pointed, not necessarily controversial or scandalous, for it is written:
"But sanctify the Lord Christ in your hearts, being ready always to satisfy everyone that asks you for a reason of that hope which is in you. But with modesty and fear, having a good conscience: that whereas they speak evil of you, they may be ashamed who falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better doing well to suffer than doing ill." 1 Peter 3:15-17
Remember that it is always best to follow your conscience in declaring your beliefs, but only in humility and good will. It's better to be called a fool for speaking your beliefs rather than be praised for making up something nice that you don't really believe. Fortify your mind in God. Where do you stand?
EDIT: If you don't believe Jesus Christ is the only avenue by which we address God, please don't post in this thread. The only result of such action would be trolling.

I'm technically pagan but I'm partial to Gnostic Chrstianity.
The wheel is spinning, but the hamster is dead.
I was thinking of including Catharism, Albigensianism, Gnosticism, Nestorianism, and the like, but pretty much every denomination considers those to be heretical. A proper denomination is not considered heretical by 90% of Christians.Naturally a Catholic may consider a Protestant heretical, or an Orthodox may consider a Catholic heterodox, but pretty much all Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants consider Gnosticism to be a heresy, since the Word became Flesh, not the other way 'round. Anyway, I doubt there are any Cathars left, especially since St. Dominic.

On another note since the topic of the thread is specifically what type of Christian one is I'd appreciate it if we could keep it on topic. Please don't troll the thread with complaints about agnostic/atheist, etc not being on the poll.
Thank you in advance

This poll is a little flawed, for example anglicans and lutherans could be united under a Magisterial Protestant denomination moniker, while the denominations big in america aren't listed here.
