    Default Submod request - New Dwarven Battle-voices

    Hi, i'd be very pleased if someone would tell me (or do it, but i prefer the former cause it seems less lazy from my part and also less demanding. I dont want to be demanding) how to alter the normal battle-event-voices (like "They killed our general" "The enemy army flees" and the ones that play after victory) for Dwarves to this http://www.sendspace.com/file/n5xeed

    cause it seems a lot more cool and climatic for me.

    They were made by an user named Baaza for Wlesmana's LOTR TW mod for Rome. As long as we keep repeating that and don't claim that it was us who made it i think it is ok. And i like them very much so i'd like to have them when i'm playing TATW.

    Not all events are covered but you can use some twice, or in other purpose like :

    All of Time_Excedeed_Defeat ones can be used for normal defeat
    leader/general/kings death voices may be the same
    some of enemy ladders_attacking may be used for siege towers too cause they don't specificly refer to laddders, only to 'siege'

    The problem is that the lotr-tw's forum has been disabled for some time now and i don't know how to contact him.

    Ok i got Wlesmana's permission. He only said "Sure, keep in mind to give the credit to Baza who is the actual voice actor.". So now i only need someone to tell me HOW to do it.

    but well here we go again...

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=418 this is the link to the mod workshop for sounds.. i already found like 6 posts with the same issue as you.. adding voices..

    the fact they are from RTW doesn't matter.. as long as the file type is the same..
    then you should rename them to replace the one you want replaced and overwrite the current voice sound file (this seems logical, but i'm not certain..)
    so if a dwarf attacks.. it should scream attack.. figuring out the right text on the right place is just a lot of testing i guess or perhaps you can recognize it in the code already..

    Hmmm... It was done easily in RTW, cause you only needed to place voices in the correct folder and change descr_sounds_events a bit. As there IS descr_sound_events in MEDIEVAL too, and the file format is as well mp3 then i'm quite sure that you need to do the same. But the voices seem to be packed in some kind of .dat and .idx files (events.dat and evets.idx) and I don't know how to add/change something in those kind of files.

    EDIT : Ok, i figured it out and already working on it.
