Playing with the Danes, it seems that their elite infantry has worse spec than Huscarl which should be weaker considering you can recruit them at castle level.
Which of these 2 unit do you consider be stronger in autoresolved battles ?

In autoresolve it's definitely the Dismounted Huscarls, unless you're playing Kingdoms in which case Obudshaer have a slightly higher attack.

In Soviet Russia you want Uncle Sam.
dismonted huscarls are stronger than norse axemen ?
Huscarls have 11 att and 15 def
Norse axemen 17 att and 11 def
Yes it's for MTWII HS, not kingdoms.

A lot of factions "elite" units are actually weaker then other ones. For example: Venice can recruit Feudal Knights at fortress, and then Men at Arms at Citidal.I personally think Knights are stronger. Also 2 handers are bugged in vanilla, so I would take dismounted huscarls all the way.
whenver I play as Denmark, the main infantry units to recruit are Viking raiders, Norse Swordsmen, and Foot Huscarls. Even in mods and other versions where 2 handed units have been fixed or made better, its also the cost involved = those elite units are very expensive and if you want good armies, you gotta 'standardize' so retraining is easy - one on one elite/expensive units are better but in actual battles they kill and are killed in the same numbers as less expensive troops.
Norse Swordsmen are probably their best over all unit because it's really really really cheap for what you get, and their recruit pool is higher. Dismounted Huscarls are technically better, but expensive and a slower recruit pool.
And don't under estimate Scouts cavalry either...
The thing about Men at Arms is that they can be upgraded to Advanced Plate. If you're more worried about defense than offense, and have an Armor Factory sitting around, they are actually better. And slightly cheaper when you buy them. I think I've been in a situation where if DFK costed about 80 less I could have gotten another unit before a siege.
Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

do the danes have those norse war clerics in vannila likie they did in kingdoms
Yes, the Danes have War Clerics in the original game too. You recruit them from Abbeys.
Haven´t played Kingdoms for a while now, but if I remember right, you recruit them from Cathedrals there, right?

just spam war clerics and huscrals with the armour upgrades of course
Great info the danes are so cool to play
The Danes are my favorite in vanilla M2TW
personally i mod my obudshaer stats to be equivalent to other faction's halberdiers. they're a bit underpowered otherwise
Obudshaer will lose 1v1 but their good for maintaining a front line against enemy heavy cavalry and infantry so your soldiers behind can attack once the front line is engaged. Also, I don't see the horrid in the Obudshaer, I've used them many times to shred apart Chivalric Knights Mounted and Dismounted. Best Halberdiers there are.
What about Sword Staff milita? Theyre decent Inf but are they better than Obutshaer? Also Gotland footmen are my favourite Medieval 2 unit-they good too?
In Vanilla, Obudshaer is weaker than dismounted huscarl, due to issues relating to two-handed weapons. In Kingdoms, Obudshaer are stronger.
The animation is too slow, when they try to hit a 1 handed unit will hit them first and stop the animation of the 2 handed unit, kingdoms expansion fixes this i believe.
ok soo they hardly ever hit the opposing unit.. Iguess thats why my highland nobles always get massacred when attacking DFK's
