Default Legolas bodyguard is very weak!!!!

I started playing the fellowship campaign and I noticed that the Legolas bodyguard is surprisingly weak and outnumbered compared to the other bodyguard units. Legolas in the movie (I have not read the book yet) use to kill ork after ork with incredible skill and speed. That, in my opinion, don't apply in the campaign. Any explanation will be very much appreciated.

I couldn't find a thread which has a discussion in the subject, that's why I make this. If there is one, please tell me where I can find it.

That is because Orlando Bloom was methamphetamine user during the movie shots. And sadly, that was the reason Orlando was not invited to the line-up for adaptation of the 4th part of the trilogy.

Well, Peter Jackson made Legolas look like some kind of God.
No one can take a Mumakil down like that.

I bet King Kong can. And he does not need three arrows. Probably, He would do that having no arrows at all.

If the Mumakil only hears the name of King Kong, the big beast dies.

Actually. All elves schould resamble Legolas's skill. I mean, they all had thousnds of years to train archery. In addition to their superior eye-sight, agility etc. etc. Elves ARE (seposedly) god like.
Why do you think so many people like them? Cos they'r bunch of hippi-pansies? o.0

    i agree with u
legolas should me stronger but imo he's weak because he's archer in tatw, and archers always sucks in the middle or late of battles

Sadly we can't make Legolas and his BG mount moving horses or climb on top of mumakil spiderman style and give them an arrow induced aneurysm right before skate down their trunks.

In the book Legolas is not the super hero he is made out to be in the movie. It is in that case realistic that he should not be increadibly stronge. He and his bodygaud should be stronger though than they currently are.

dude, the guy kills 52 orcs in one battle, many with a knife. thats a pretty good, on par with any medieval heroes. But people fail to see that. "I killed like five hundred soldiers on assasins creed just yesterday" - thats not how the world work in reality.

Legolas has a good bodyguard.. with some of the best archers in TATW, but it doesn't end there, the bodyguard aren't just awesome archers, but also very good soldiers that can hold the line in hand to hand combat very well

Legolas in the movies is just overpowered and quite ridicolous to see.

The thing is that Legolas was the best archer on the fellowship and in most of cases the only archer, the hobbits trow stones and the rest of the party engaging the enemies in melee. In the campaign Legolas bodyguard is weaker than the other ranger bodyguards and with fewer archers.

here is my idea of the fellowship bodyguards in campaign :

Aragorn: Rangers with sw two handed sword more powerful in melee than archery
Gandalf: dual weapon sword/mace and some powerful but limited ranged skills
    Gimly: Two handed axe bodyguard
Hobbits: Bodyguard with slings is the best option, in my opinion, but I dont know if is possible
Legolas: Very powerful in archery elven rangers. sw two elven daggers
    Boromir: Sword and shield bodyguards.

I’m pretty sure he rank behind Gandalf in any case, and Aragorn, Gimli and especially Boromir (Tolkien emprises very much the battle powers of Boromir) are most likely better than him in melee. But he is undoubtedly the best archer, But you can hardly say he’s the best or most dangerous warrior in the fellowship. (Remember that Gimli beat him in a contest, in a siege nonetheless).

Well, Legolas most certainly was the second most dangerous fighter in the fellowship, yet not as powerful as shown in the movies.

I think the current stats are fine. Or will be; Once RC/RR ist updated.

Just my opinion, but I'd say he was nowhere near.

    1. Gandalf.

    massive gap

    2. Aragorn. Fights his way across Pelenor.
    3. Boromir. Greatest warrior in Gondor, a nation constantly at war.

    something of a gap

    4. Gimli (outperforms Legolas despite Hornburg being an archer friendly seige)
    5. Legolas. Srsly a skirmisher with an excellent bow, but a skirmisher.

    rather large gap.

    6-9 Hobbits.

Sindar are not the killing machines the Noldor of the first Age were. The Hobbit makes this clear, and Legolas excellent archery and strong knife work does not dispell this in my mind. He's fantastic but the rest of the fellowship (hobbits aside) are better warriors in my mind.

I'm ok with that. The problem is that i cant find the Legolas bodyguard in the EDU file to make them meet my expectations!

Can anyone please tell me where I can find the Legolas bodyguard stats so I can change them? I want to give him 20 bodyguards (as the most of the party) with 15 ranged attack and lower his melee abilities a little, so he cannot steal glory from the better members of the party.....
