Looks great - good luck.
I could swear that every time i check this thread out i see you have added yet another new and awesome feature into this mod Chris10.
(once i am able to) Have an unethical amount of Rep +++++++++++++++
Aulus Petillius Vespasianus: Patrician, Senator, Age 32
1. ..well, I discovered some interesting ways of scripting certain things and started adding one or the other thing which I hope will bring a bit of life into the campaign without being repetitive...unexpeceted things...surprises...setbacks...the Roman Empire was not forged without losses and sometimes Rome had to overcome real trouble...
2. thanx a lot guys but Iam confused ...????...people can rep once they reach 50 posts ....so you 2 can rep anybody anytime......
"thanx but lets not forget that it is actually a lot easier to improve than to develope
The true genius was to revive RTW in its current form. RSII was an insane amount of work..."
You are absolutely right ... so I have RSII team as an idol, just below Chuck Norris....![]()
Excellent idea for an expansion.
After the 17th of December (my last law exam) I will have several weeks with nothing to do, so I would like to offer my services as a beta-tester if you need it.
PS: I play RS with Steam, and have RTW, BI and ALEX.
I wouldnt mind testing it out as well. Ive got a couple of weeks free after the 18th
Aulus Petillius Vespasianus: Patrician, Senator, Age 32
Damn, i hoped this would be like late campaign, starting at that period, but still, good luck
Sounds good !
Ang I like this Idea haha good luck !
"I would like it to be something like Play Rome 1Turn on steroids. "
I would love some serious resistance...if the player needs 2 Legions to take a capital...even better and a lot more realistic...the bigger the challenge the bigger the feeling of satisfaction...
This wont be an issue on this...I finished everyhing to 100% ( except the garrison script aprx. 40%) before announcing anything.
I think lots of mods/submods are failing because people make big announcements before they have done something and later they find out that it is either impossible or a huge amount of work and abandon their project. It was ever easier to talk than actually to act.....
Once I have finished everything I will PM you.
..thnx
yey finallythis will be the first mod set in the imperial era i believe:d
and finally a realistic mod that we can actually use the lorica segmenta without feeling guilty of the timeframe
bring on the "5 good emperors"!
(no idea why nerva was ever included in that saying...his biggest acomplishment was the adoption of trajan..not exactly the best thing lol)
and they forgot about lucius domitius aurelianus
and marcus aurelius probus
oh well
thanksyoui shall hold my breath!
the Gaelleci rose agains and spawned again , i think it's bit too much now .![]()
They rise when you take Vareia o Ulaca from the Gallaeci....part of the problem is that the script monitors are not saved in a savegame and not taken into account...so on reload all monitors and counters are reset to 0 and checked again for True_Condition...
If you would loose these citys and retake them in the same game session they would not rise again as the monitor has been executed and terminated but on reload all is back to 0 and once you take the key city the script will trigger again.
You have to have enough Legions in Spain to hold these citys no matter what and catch up with these attacks...4-6 Legions + 1 or 2 (or more if needed) cheap allied stacks to Garrison (light Lybian Spear, Balearic Slingers, Iberian Scutaari,Numidian Cav. etc ) will do the trick......
With limited forces it will be difficult that you succeed...

So I guess it's not my fault . Who know those cities are such important so you have to defend it no matter what !
I think I lost like 10 legions in Hispania ! When I attack Hispania , Carthage was destroyed and the Gallaeci took control of the whole land and advanced into Gaul by taking 2 cities from the Arveni . I have to fight like a dozen Gallaeci stacks at first and when I nearly conquer all of their cities in Hispania bang they spawned nearly a dozen stacks again . When they rise, naturally I withdrew most of the troops from north western of Hispania include Vaeria and Ulaca to save the central and coastal cities and of course lost those cities but I didn't think it was a problem . And when I successfully deal with all the Gallaeci troops in central and coastal part of Hispania I came back to those last cities of Gallaeci and retook them , and they spawned again!
I think you should let the player know what trigger the uprising of the Gallaeci Chirst , add that to the portrait advice after the first uprising happened . When the Gallaeci first rise , it is a surprise welcome but when it happens again , it becomes annoying especially since the player doesn't know the reason .
what is the latest update for this? and could someone post up or PM me the link to it?
Play_Rome_Five_Good_Emperors Comprehensive Update 1.5.zip
thnx,very kind...
glad to see that people have to actually think about a valuable strategy instead of just steamrolling the map as uually in RTW based games/mods...this was my main goal while setting FGE up...
There is the second rebellion later in the game when you control 95+ provinces (supposing you activate the script...of course)

So I was besieging Thapsus will a full stack. Obviously after I ended the turn the garrison army kicked in and a full stack appeared in city, then 3 enemy units attacked from the rear so the garrison army acted as reinforcements and the epic battle was on.
I achieved a heroic victory and the enemy garrison army was destroyed, when i went back to the campaign map the remnants of the enemy units moved into Thapsus, then the very next turn a whole new garrison army appeared in the city and im back to square 1.
Is it normal for multiple garrison armies to appear even tho I never stopped besieging the city??
I know from an earlier battle in Carthage that if I siege a city, enabling the garrison army, then lift the siege and fight the garrison army away from the city, that a new garrison army will appear when I siege the city again. But I didnt expect multiple garrison's when I never lifted the siege.

well...I would not bet my life on it but I think I remember the engine considers the siege lifted when attacking with an army from outside with the garrison acting as reinforcement or maybe it was just a glitch...try to make a test...exit the game..reload and do autoresolve if attacked...see what happens
Hey! I know its been a long time, but I recently found this submod, and aI think It looks greats, the only problem is... I can't get it to work... I have my new and fresh Roma Surrectum II, and everything is fine, but then when I install this submod, according to the install notes I can't get a way to launch it... I mean, I had already copy and paste all the folders and the 1.5 update, has usual (I'm not new in this...) but then after I corrrectly copy and paste all the folders, I get like "Now what?"... I go and launch the RS2 launcher... and then... I don't know what to do... I'd go to the part where it said "Insert the submode Name here and then save" (Or something like that...) I write "Five Good Emperors" also try with "Rome Five Good Emperors", then save, click ok, launch the game, and it sends me to the custom battles options. I had already try a lot of things but nothing seems to work, so... Could you help me a little bit here? I'll thank you a lot!![]()
