    Anyone love his books?!

He is by far my favourite author. I only have Saqqara, Inca Gold and Sacred Stone(feat. Craig Dirgo).

    Clive Cussler - very cool

i actually think this is the 2nd thread on cussler, but oh well

i only collect his Dirk Pitt adventures, i find Kurt Austen to be a recycled version of Pitt, a simple acknowledgement that pitt is too old, but i want to keep writing, so lets bring in a new character who has an even less credible role in a national maritime agency.
come to think of it, hasn't he published a new Pitt adventure recently? one that comes after him meeting his two children for the first time (in valhalla rising i think)

"Atlantis Found" I think. My favorite of the series. I only read the Dirk pitt series. Best author I have read.

I've never read any of his books. The other day I saw a book at my library sale by this guy...it was 1 dollar, I should have bought it. I think it was called Vallhalla Rising or something, anyone know if its good?

Alright, I went to my library this weekend and they have the BEST SALES EVER!!!! I bought 15 books, including a series which I regret buying. It's so cheap that I don't even read the back of the books when I buy them, heh. 2 of the books are Sahara and Valhalla Rising, and my friend has Atlantis Found, so I'm gonna read em since you say they're that good.

By the way, in your original post you say Saqqara, did you mean Sahara?

Time to revive this old thread.

I recently purchased 3 of his books: Treasure, Dragon and Black Wind.
Read Treasure and Dragon so far.

Oh well, he never gives up his writing. Dirk Pitt's son is also called Dirk Pitt, so he never gives up.

To be honest I didn't like Valhalla Rising as much as his previous books. Atlantis found really did seem to be the final book of the series, then it somehow continues. Though it does seem to be going on for too long.
How old is Dirk in Valhalla rising anyway?

    Nearing 50 years I think.
At least his son and Jack Dahlgren are the new Pitt and Al Giordino.

Where can I find the first 5 books?
