In my current campaign, I already destroyed Carthage, Gaul, Germania, Greek, Macedon,Egypt...I conquered over half the map, but the Reform still has not taken place? I read the Readme and knew all the requirements (No cheatcodes, Destroying Carthages,..). I completed 3 Rome campaigns before, only 1 time when I got the Marius Reform.
Not sure what went wrong. However, while fooling around in my current campaign, I found a Rome Rebel city at the very far Top Left of the map, called Sheila. I thought that this is the secret of the Marius Reform, so I sent 2 stacks in warship North to capture it while setting one city near Rome to rebel and use a Diplomat to buy off the Sheila city.
The Problems are: 1) My best warships could not cross that ocean water between England and that City. 2)that Sheila city is not in the Rome Rebel diplomat scroll, so I could not buy that city off. What is the Explanation??
Anyway, here are my thought on this mod:
1) VH/VH setting is only difficult for the first 5 turns, after that it's easy. I played VH/VH setting in all 3 campaigns.
2)Greek and Macedonia AI suck so badly. Greek only put up good fight when they have Spartan in their stacks. Macedonia AI does not attack effectively during battle-Too easy to flank them. They both spam so many stacks of bad units that after I capture each the city, the population is usually below 2000.
3)Seleucid is the true ELEPHANT faction, not Carthage. Seleucid spams Elephant units like crazy, sometime i have to fight over 5 units of elephants in a battle.
4)Never seen Germania employs Berserker in their army.
